Got Logic Pro on my iPad. First thing I tried, create a pattern. Add pattern, get told I need to be in step sequencer mode with no hint of how to get there. Are you really trying to make me RTFM in 2023, Apple? Sheesh!

Fit the Pam’s Pro in the rack and it’s great to have all the extra modulation options. Got enough now to set most of my modules mental.

Finally downloaded the key components to the Komplete upgrade and started designing some new atmospheric samples I will use on some new tunes.

Had a big old shuffle around on my eurorack cases and feel pretty happy with how everything is shaping up. Most important bit was moving my Expert Sleepers and main PC-MIDI module into my smaller 4U rack so now I can get a decent amount of outputs (10 discrete mono outs) and MIDI to CV and PC driven clock without having to use either of my bigger racks. Opens things up to let me use VCV Rack with a smaller skiff and a bunch of my monosynths, but also still room on my desk for the 2 big cases and the 4u one. Big decisions if I ever look to get anything else more than 2hp wide though I do have room for 1u modules.

Knocked my water glass over with my headphone cord and gave my desk an unexpected washing. Thankfully, all my electronics are elevated a bit and were safe.

Jesus, that could have got expensive and potentially dangerous though probably not at eurorack wattage levels!foosnark wrote: Sat May 27, 2023 8:19 pm Knocked my water glass over with my headphone cord and gave my desk an unexpected washing. Yesterday I really got to see (hear) why I bought that drum machine (LXR-02). Was playing around with it and made something really good with 15% swing and the hats at a length of 7 (!) Now I want to make crazy stuff with the ring mod effect.
Unrelated, but also working on a track I'm calling 'Crystalized Caffeine'.

It's weird I've just recorded parts of what sounds like a spy theme. I did this last week too. Odd, maybe I need to do an EP of themes to spy movies that don't exist?
This is what I've got so far...
Discovered an annoyance in my interface. I can send square wave audio down my ES-3 module outputs (I'm using an ancient plugin, Waldorf Attack to do this fired by MIDI for a kick for instance) and my modular can pick those up and treat them like triggers which I intend to pass on to patches acting as drum voices, but I can't find a way to send the square waves without also hearing them. It's a drag. Some combination of Reaper and my RME interface's software mixer must be the issue.

I used to lean back my chair when recording.foosnark wrote: Sat May 27, 2023 8:19 pm Knocked my water glass over with my headphone cord and gave my desk an unexpected washing. Thankfully, all my electronics are elevated a bit and were safe.
I did that one day with a band in the studio and when I leaned back down, the chair landed on an extension chord, cutting it and sending sparks every where.
To this day I walk like an Egyptian.

I spent hours setting up the drum machine to record on-the-fly whilst synced to my Quadrantid Swarm. Found out that simply clicking 'play' on my DAW made one of the voices in the LXR-02 report an erroneous wave (corrupt data) and after scratching my head realized that I was on a new project and I hadn't changed the config to filter out everything except midi sync so after I did that the problem was fixed
Wondered today whether I should contact erica synths and tell them my experience.
Recorded a little something that reminded me of why I love the Swarm and then learned about the 'midi resolution' on the output of the LXR to play a synced instrument faster. 'Clock in PPQ and clock out PPQ can be set independently.

Recorded more stuff, and now I've got about 48 minutes of stuff toward the next album. I kind of feel like racing the Spectraphon's shipping to finish it, to have a clean break at that point.
