Hi!

Our freebee giveaway present this year is a carefully multisampled Shanghai made toy piano from the -70ies. It’s in SoundFont format so everyone can use it in almost any virtual sampler.
Read more, listen to the beautiful demo by Daniel and download it at:

Wow, that's cool. I could see possibly using this, especially if I ever decide to do a Christmas type piece.

oh, fun little instrument :D
thank you!
that's the good thing about free stuff, no one would consider to sample something like this to sell it, so it needs freeware to be sampled :hihi:

Great sampleset, I love toy pianos (have a Jaymar here in my room) and can never get enough of these quirky instruments. Any chance you'll share some info on how you sampled this (number of mics, where they were positioned, etc)? I can never figure out where the best place to put the mic is with my toy piano without getting at least a few really harsh notes or way too much key noise.
I'm sorry this post wasn't about techno.

Thank you very much!

I really enjoy listening to the demos for the angilina pads. One day I'm going to have to break down and actually buy them!

Awwwww its so cute :) Thanks alot.... :D

It sounds really nice, but I see it is an EXE which can't be used on a mac. Any chance of getting a link to a SFark version or plain SF2?

Thanks much!

The piano is sampled with a pair of Line Audio Design CM2 microphones in 1m distance. It´s recorded in very "dead" space, no reflections from walls.

In the editing I only kept 1 cannel and did some EQ cut 100 KHz dip and all notes are normalized and some easy noise reduction.

For MAC users:
Download the latest Stuffit expander and drag the .exe file on it. :)

8) Thank you, Merry Christmas. Reminds me of Pianosaurus Groovy Neighborhood, man that was a great album.
