Why do establised geniuses like Gabriel and Ferry suck now?

Unless you have ever heard "The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway", "Supper's Ready", and/or "Selling Engalnd by the Pound", you simply wouldn't understand what the hell I am talking about. No offense intended, BTW.
only that, besides 'selling England', 'Duke' is my favourite Genesis Album...
yeah, 'Foxtrot' is magic as well...
