A lyrics prompter could be quite useful.
When we are not a performing singer, nor have instant learning capacity, we sing the lyrics for just a couple of takes and we need to see them because they are not in memory. At the same time we need to see where the playhead is currently moving.
Thus a lyrics prompter vst plugin:
- shows lyrics together with one or more of the following: melody notes, midi piano roll, audio track
- in sync with each other and the moving playhead
- with lyrics input capability note to note syllable to syllable
- the lyrics line needs to be positioned immediately near any other line (notes, midi roll, audio track) because the visual sharp focus is tight.

I would love to see a similar plugin like Protoplug, which provides for Scripting Audio-Algorithms with LUA, brought to the CLAP World. It can be Lua but I would not reject python or any other easy yet performant scripting language...

There are already myriads of plugins. Nevertheless, there
is a lot that was not realized or not really well and originally.
When it comes to mixing songs, I would like to make the
following five suggestions:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Multiband exciter
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
For a decent processing of single sounds and for a good
mastering a multiband-exciter can make the difference!
The field of multiband-exciters is still an interesting and
rewarding area for VST-developers.
A multiband-exciter which enables fine tuning of a
chosen frequency band, so that small deficiencies of a
sound or of a mix can be corrected easily, is very very
appealing.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
2. Multiband transient shaper
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
In order to adapt and model a sound very precisely, it is
good if you can adapt the transients differently for many
frequency ranges.
Of course, the high frequencies are the typical domain
for transients. Almost all "transient designers" take care
of these frequencies. It is all the more interesting to
design the upper and lower mids. With it you can give a
sound - drums, synth stabs or guitars - much better punch.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
3. Dynamic EQ
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
The dynamic EQ makes it possible to control a specific
frequency range. It's kind of a selective compressor.
There are really only a few dynamic EQs and very few
free dynamic EQs. In this respect, a nice dynamic EQ
might be a great contribution.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
4. Semantic EQ
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Haha, what should a "semantic EQ" be?
This is simply an EQ, the controls of which are not
underlaid with frequency information. Instead, they are
referred to with descriptive adjectives such as bass,
deep warmth, high warmth, fullness, nasality, presence,
shine. Since such an EQ is aimed more at beginners,
the GUI should also be a bit colorful and simple.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
5. Super-stereo-widener
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Stereo expansion is a tricky thing: There is (1) the
method of doubling with delay and modulation. This
method quickly makes rhythmic signals muddy and
diffuse.
And then there is (2) the frequency distribution method:
certain frequencies are shifted to the left and others to
the right.
How about combining these two methods in a clever
way that - with a single button - you have an optimal
stereo widener?

A yamaha DX100 emulation.
Surprised there isn't one
I'm sure it's a lot more work and could maybe only be done
as a paid plugin, but it's a wishlist, so I can dream
If any developer is reading this, give us one of these, or a Korg DW8000. I'd buy both !

a replacement for my regroover license. it felt very underdeveloped already when they decided to cancel the plugin.
a tremor drummachine clone would be killer^^.

Yeah, the "Yamaha DX100" is the small brother of the DX7.
The DX100 is sort of a subset of the DX7. And for the DX7 there
is a good emulation: Dexed.
But that's right: If you want the DX100 with the typical DX100
feeling, you'll get nothing.

I'd like what I'm calling The Loopinator. It's a drum loop slicer that can rearrange beats, but you can put isolated effects on each distinct beat. You'd be able to combine FX and have them play with attached effects or put a new effect on that beat in its place in the loop. A kind of a Stutter Edit slicer rearranger combo. I figure it can be done because there's only so many parts in a drum loop and if you isolate the main parts you got maybe kick snare HH cymbal so I think modern CPUs can handle. Of course, now is the time when someone will post how this plugin is already being done.

This plugin has already been done. And it’s not called Loopinator but Looperator. From Sugar Bytes.osiris wrote: ↑Sat Jun 24, 2023 9:43 pm I'd like what I'm calling The Loopinator. Well, perhaps a bit late and odd, but a free MIDI pianoroll VST is still missing!
Thanx, to all great developers!!

Yeah, it is indeed too late. All VSTs must have been submitted for July 1st. But weHerrFornit wrote: ↑Wed Jul 05, 2023 7:37 pm Well, perhaps a bit late and odd, but a free MIDI pianoroll VST is still missing!

can take your whish over to the list of the "DC2025". It's almost at the door!
