The reverb in this pack ran rings around all software reverbs at the time. Even by today's standards, the Hyperprism reverb is rather amazing. This was released around 1998.
There were good software reverbs way before Reason RV7k, plugins just weren't that popular so the few gems that were available were not known. Also, Waves had a few decent reverbs way earlier though personally I never liked their reverbs all that much. And finally, convolution was an option already way before the year 2000.

What you want is a plugin Origin. Me too.bmanic wrote: ↑Fri Jun 02, 2023 6:34 amI just hope they don't screw it up like they did Analog Lab. It has some huge issues where you can't properly save individual plugins presets within Analog Lab if you browse through the various presets. It's really weird and probably a bug (reported it to Arturia but never got reply).
Analogue Lab could also be a whole lot more interesting if they made it sort of modular with some extra LFOs and envelopes.. but I realize that could would be a huge update and probably not feasible for them to go that route.

Yeah, that seems right, but oddly if you have FX Collection 1 and nothing else, it’s only $99.
Whatever. I’m not going to cry about it, but it seems odd to me that they’re basically encouraging their most loyal customers to not update, because we all know there will be a bunch of other effects created and added to FX Collection 5 and you’ll pay $99 for all of them and basically get the pre v4 editions as part of the deal

Although not marketed as such, this is what Arturia is partly/sort of/maybe doing with Pigments. So far only with filters, but I could absolutely see them starting to add Moog/Korg oscillators to its VA synth engine - which is imo the weakest part in Pigments.

Yeah, that's very logical. But I bet it would be better to not update to v5, because we all know there will be a bunch of other effects created and added to FX Collection 6 and you’ll pay $99 for all of them and basically get the pre v5 editions as part of the deal. But I bet it would be better to not update to v7, because we all know there will be a bunch of other effects created and added to FX Collection 8 and you’ll pay $99 for all of them and basically get the pre v7 editions as part of the deal. I upgraded for 29 and now I have FX4 and FX 3 that I can upgrade for 69?
Does that mean I can I sell my old FX 3 now?
I had purchased "the other" effects separately, so I guess that makes some sense. I just didn't expect to get another FX license.
