The issues with bouncing external devices is listed as „fixed“. Let’s hope this is true...

Just tested and it seems to be fixed :tu:

But still no delay compensation for external hardware

Oh wow! Great! :tu:

I also noticed External hardware sync. (was it there before?!). Anyway, Let's use it and see. I'm optimistic that there is no show stopper for me :)
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

Update seems cool. Still don't expect a lot of content to be out with the show page. This is until they match the workflow similar to live's session view (which they will continue hear). Curious to see what certain user bases from music producers to live performers actually showcasing these 5.2 features. So far its the music producers who have made Studio One 5 get popular this time around.

Ok, could test it today - works as expected now, yay!!! Case closed (at least for me) :tu:

That escalated quickly. Come on guys, something surely doesn't work... :)

Well, if most users are that loyal (like you), nothing would be fixed!
So, yeah! If we find something else be sure we are going to bring it up and disturb your loyalty ;) Why not?

Quote me where I wrote something like "Bugs shouldn't be fixed".

Apart from that, I really have no idea where you are coming from that you think it would be justified to tackle me. What exactly have I done to you?

Post

You done nothing and I have done nothing! You just object on every criticism to S1! Why?

It was a joke.

OK!

Anyway, back to the topic. Glad that Personus fixed and improved v5. For me, v5.2 is the best S1 till now. I'm even thinking to go 96k instead of 48k as I read it helps little bit with old plugins to eliminate some of the aliasing! But this is for another topic!

Midi recording inside Studio One works fine, it always has.
I've a pretty solid setup with RME Fireface 802. I can offset midi but these offsets S1 does might not always be the same. So I'm what? Replacing random offset with fixed number which might not make things better at all? No, thank you.

I think midi worked better before adding the dropout protection.

However - midi recording isn't ok. It's flawed. If it was just me I'd say it's my setup but there are lots of users that care about midi timing and see something's not right.

The same thing happens in 5.3 for me but when half-time plugin is active (or MRhythemizer in Half-Speed). When bounced, the first bar is silenced then the audio comes in. Does anybody else have this?

Mixcraft 9 has a perfect quantization in complex projects, it never leaves a note out of place, it is the best DAW in perfect quantization.
