I'm specifically interested in the sound of Imperative Reaction track called "Forced"
Can anyone recognize what type of drum machine and synth/bass is used here? Or recommend something similar among samples/plugins?
Also If anyone know any video tutorials on writing music in this genre, I will be extremely grateful!
Help me choose samples/plugins for producing music in the old school industrial/ebm genre

Bass is a pluck with resonance turned up, attack and decay on the filter cutoff - so basically a 303 style bass with not too long an attack time, and with distortion added.
Kick is 909ish, but basically any punchy not-too-long kick should work if you compress it. Snare is also nothing unusual, possibly 909 or LinnDrum or an acoustic snare one-shot with a big reverb on it, possibly gated before the reverb or just cut to not have its full natural decay tail, and then again after the reverb. Hi-hats are just... short.

909ish kick sounds a little muffled, even after the compressor setting (or maybe I'm doing something wrong), in this track drums seem to be slapping. You can clearly hear the drum part at the end between 5:50-5:56.DSmolken wrote: Sun Jun 04, 2023 11:43 am Bass is a pluck with resonance turned up, attack and decay on the filter cutoff - so basically a 303 style bass with not too long an attack time, and with distortion added.

Yeah, D16 Punchbox can do this for sure by layering an acoustic kick transient with a 909 kick, but that's probably overkill and you can get there with a lot less. There are Jomox kick samples out there which will probably be very close, I think that circuit can a more prominent initial slap. Or just find some free acoustic drum kit with a separate beater-side mic and find some nice transient in the high-velocity samples.
But more generally - they're not really super weird or extreme sounds, pretty much just a powerful versions of "regular" synth and drum sounds.
