Man I wish I saved my kontakt instruments from before v5. I updated everything at some point for the performance and compression.

Hi Moss, thanks for all your efforts!
I tried converting two different decent sampler presets to kontakt and got the following message :-
Could not load file: The processing instruction target matching "[xX][mM][lL]" is not allowed.
No idea what this means, but hopefully the feedback helps you somehow?

Thanks! Seems that the presets contain an invalid XML file since comments are not allowed before the XML header statement. But will see if I can implement a workaround...Clearscreen wrote: ↑Tue Jun 13, 2023 1:11 am Hi Moss, this is one of the decentsampler sets...

EDIT: Workaround will be in the next update.

I would love to second this request. It's hard finding high quality commercial SFZ samples, and I would love to be able to buy and convert EXS24 (EXS) samples to SFZ format.SampleScience wrote: ↑Thu Apr 06, 2023 8:16 pm EXS24 support would be great, especially converting from Kontakt to EXS24. It would be so useful to me!
Would any of the open source converters found below be helpful for you in learning what needs to be parsed for the exs24 format?

Thanks Moss!! I managed to understand what the problem is with the preset code, so I've been deleting the pre-xml comments but then they throw this error:-moss wrote: ↑Tue Jun 13, 2023 7:00 pm ConvertWithMoss 6.2.1 is online!

Unsupported <DecentSampler> child elements: midi
But if I delete the entire midi section of code it passes analysis and I can export to Kontakt 1. Thenkontakt (v6) loses all the groups? Still opens and plays sound but Kontakt doesn't see the waves in it's group, mapping or wave editors.
DL'ing 6.2.1 now...

Thanks agina Moss!!
6.2.1 gets around the XML comments issue, but still throws the midi error (Unsupported <DecentSampler> child elements: midi)? Kontakt 6 loads and plays the resulting nki just fine though!
If I delete the midi code from the dspreset the error goes away and nothing appears to break in kontakt...
As an aside, the Kontakt 2-4.1 option is unavailable (greyed out), not sure that's intended or something to do with my system?

I'll keep playing with other dspresets, decentsampler works fine but kontakt allows a lot more creativity with the samples...

The MIDI warning is just for information. The tool does output unsupported attributes, so you get an idea what will work and what does not with the results.Clearscreen wrote: ↑Wed Jun 14, 2023 12:52 am Thanks agina Moss!!
