Thanks!
Any chance there can be another round of focus by the development team on CPU optimization? That, and the too-tiny button to toggle the other mode with the attack and release knobs, are my only annoyances.

Trackspacer 3 will have all controls in the main UI. No advanced panel needed.vitocorleone123 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 11, 2023 10:58 am Thanks!

Mastering the Mix FUSER has taken it to the next level. Hopefully Wavesfactory can at lease equal it, and soon.

Every more recent spectral dynamic plugin like MSpectral Dynamics or DSEQ with Sidechain input has taken it to a probably for Trackspacer unreachable level since years anyway... it´s not just Fuser...vitocorleone123 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 03, 2023 8:10 am Mastering the Mix FUSER has taken it to the next level. I have found that Trackspacer sounds more transparent than MSpectralDynamics especially when dealing with lower freqs. Someone on the forum mentioned it was due to a filter type Melda decided to use, probably linear phase.
Yup, confirmed here: viewtopic.php?p=6126473#p6126473
And no intention to change that here: viewtopic.php?t=591991
I prefer simplicity and TrackSpacer excels in that regard when compared to the competition.

Aren't these just dynamic multiband compressors with side chain inputs?

You gotta specify that a bit. In any traditional sense, no they aren't, at least not MSpectralDynamics. I don't have Trackspacer, but I assume it has just like 20 bands or whatever & no FFT. That would explain why it works better for hard sidechaining.

I was just looking at Fuser and it has IIR and FIR/linear phase options. Wouldn't linear phase be preferable for this type of application? Mspectraldynamics is linear phase only.
If linear phase is preferable then it would be handy if such a plugin had a global setting for all instances, or a rendering option whereby one could easily switch to high latency FIR just for rendering.

Every day takes figuring out all over again how to f#ckin’ live.

#1 This is a cool "slap and go" plugin, which is very handy for fast sketches.
The biggest drawback for me is that you can not specify 2 or more "ranges". In my view, with the plugin being so popular, should of been done yesterday. Because of that, I am starting to grow out of it, and next on the plate for me would be crunching deeper into classic side chaining. Mr. Jesus from Wavesfactory, if you are reading this, your plugin is cool, but can be cooler.
