Hey there!
Besided Reverb and Cabinet Sims, what kind of FX can be replicated using deconvolving processes?
Gates?
Delays?
EQs?
Exciter?
Transient Shapers?
In what kind of IR Loader (or a specific one) can they loaded, eg. an EQ IR (If that's possible) - does it make sense to load it in a Reverb IR FX Plugin or is there a kind of generic IR loader for this purposes?
What loader supports an array of multiple IR (to recreate compressors etc)?
Thanks a lot for your help - I dont know any source where to look elsewhere than here.

Well I am not an expert but the convolution of kilohearts comes with a ton of fx presets quite funny and in particular gates and delays.
But I would think that any convolution can work...

I think Waves Q-clone tells a bit what you can do
https://www.waves.com/plugins/q-clone
You can take a IR snapshot that is a linear representation of an amp as an example.
- but not non-linear stuff like increasing level and have it sound like an amp played
- you need one IR for each level and eq knob setting
- then mix those together, kind of, so the right one is used each level
So an eq is fine, just one specific setting each one though, like on an amp.
My favorite IR loader is probably Liquidsonics Reverberate. Load of things you can do with a bunch of different IR:s. Route them to each other, modulate in various ways etc. Support quad IR too for true stereo.

on the peculiar topic, I developed an unedited used of the convolution process in where they behave a bit similarly as sympathetic string
...if you want to give them a try, its free : https://mega.nz/file/1HVQWQQB#154DjUdo_ ... Z-ZbhTcoDI

Pretty much, only linear, time-invariant FX.
"A linear system processes signals with low amplitude identically to signals with high amplitude. An example is an equalizer that applies the same spectral curve to signals whether they’re quiet or loud.
A time-invariant system stays the same over time, and doesn’t change based on previous states of the system. An equalizer doesn’t change its spectral curve after you set the parameters."
(quote from https://theproaudiofiles.com/convolution/)
dynamics processing, and modulation effects are examples of those for which convolution is not suitable.
Convolution is convolution, IRIn what kind of IR Loader (or a specific one) can they loaded, eg. an EQ IR (If that's possible) - does it make sense to load it in a Reverb IR FX Plugin or is there a kind of generic IR loader for this purposes?
what do you mean? there are multiple convolution effects which allow multiple IRs, but I dont know what 'array' specifically means in that context. What loader supports an array of multiple IR (to recreate compressors etc)?
Sequential or parallel IRs wont recreate a compressor, for example; compressors have signal-dependent behaviour.
Convolution could only be used to do that if the IR in use is itself changed based on the input level aka dynamic convolution. Very few convolvers are dynamic convolvers; partially that's because until relatively recently, patents prevented people from making them... https://www.soundonsound.com/reviews/si ... 000-cx2000
my other hardware modular is a bugbrand.
