What host?
We'll need more system info to help you. For example, are you using a mixer? Do you have your synth directly connected to your soundcard?
What it sounds like, is you're sending those pre-recorded audio tracks out, and then back into your recording input, along with the desired rack synth audio feed.

That's alot of money to spend on something you haven't been able to figure out how to use..
Or was money involved at all?

"Never" is a strong word to apply when using demos, DUMB ass..And how many demos are you gonna learn at once? 2 host apps & 3 instruments, eh?insulator wrote:You ever hear of demo software SMART ass What I like I buy.
Your reaction only backs up the fact that your a warez using shitheel dog f**ker..
That & the simple fact that Absynth doesn't have a demo..

He's asking about layering. I had more than a dozen legally bought synths before I ever tried that, and in Logic it was not immediately obvious to me either.Sicklecell666 wrote:That's alot of money to spend on something you haven't been able to figure out how to use..
You may still be right about wares, though.

OK. Back to the original question. There are various ways to record softsynths using Sonar 4 depending on your needs. So before sending you down the wrong 'track', could you give us a step-by-step walk thru of your recording process? Also, how is Sonar and Vegas interconnected or used? This may help to give us a clearer picture of what solution is best for you.
Sonar 4 will allow you to freeze a midi take. It also allows you to echo the midi data to multiple Vsti's so that you can here the layered synths in realtime. You can also simply copy the midi data to multiple tracks to playback the softsynths on multiple MIDI channels.
It all depends on your needs.

Err..not to mention that I fail to see a hypersonic demo anywhere on Steinberg's site either..
