Studio One: I just want to copy a range of time and place it somewhere else.

I'm switching from Cubase to Studio one and for some reason copying everything that was recorded within say, bar 5 to bar 7 and then pasting that whole section to bar 10 is less than intuitive for me. I use that range tool to cover the area of time I want to copy, press "select all in loop", press copy, then paste it to bar 10 and I end up with some parts on lines that were never recorded on or the part pasted isn't exactly the length of the area I set the range too to cover.
What am I doing wrong?? Seems it should be a 2 step process.

Thanks for responding Danilo. I dabbled in there a bit but found it cumbersome for the simple task I want to perform.

I've sometimes noticed when cut & pasting that I get freaky extra notes, similar to what you describe.

Usually it's because the clip I'm cutting also has other material underneath, like a hidden layer beneath an overlaid clip .

Maybe the material you're importing from Cubase has "hidden layers" out of sight, especially if it's a dense recording where you haven't checked all the unused "takes" or layers..

Drag & dropping the clip out of the way for a moment usually shows this to be the case.

Sorry I wasn't clear kevvvvv but I was saying that I'm coming from Cubase as my DAW and switching to Studio One.I haven't imported anything. I'm starting Studio One as a second DAW.
