Re-use old PSU and PCcase for budget build ?

I want to reuse parts from old i7 920 build . These are the parts 1. Gigabyte PC Case 2008-2009 2. Corsair tx750w (non modular) 2008-2009 .
The new parts are a make do BUDGET. AMD4600g, mobo , ram , nvme ... Thanks again .

Personally I find more modern cases so much better for size and routing than something of that era that I wouldnt bother myself. My questions would be are the fans and PSU still reliable and quiet etc, and does the PSU offers the connectors you need?

Yes , it all works, quiet, and has the connections . I'd have to wipe clean and air dust stuff . I could also get a 450w modular PSU and a budget case . I guess I need to do some more research .

I would not reuse them for a modern build. Case designs and power supplies have changed quite a lot since the Nahalem/pre-Sandy Bridge era.

The newer cases have many better options for cooling.
Also newer PC (CPU+Graphics) might require a higher power supply.

I definitely agree with the cases being far better now, yet with the question above being answered by you as "yes", what you're looking at with the actual power draw of the 'make do budget' system you've described is so minimal that I seriously doubt the fan on the PSU (which was made by Seasonic or Channel Well (CWT) btw ), will even kick in.

If/when it does fail, the odds of it taking out your other components (though not impossible) is relatively slim.

Given the failure (DOA) rates of 'newer' PSU's I've seen and only (after nearly 30+ years) experienced recently myself with a new $120+ (non PC Power and Cooling) PSU, and the total cost you have in this build, I'd stick with the "make do" motive on this one, as "new" may not be an upgrade, and more hassle than it is worth. Not to mention, costing you potentially double your current investment, for a decent PSU/case combo, as going cheap on PSU's is just tempting disaster/disappointment. [2c]

No problem, but in the motherboard BIOS set
Power Supply Idle Control = Typical Current Idle

You may want to clean the PSU, but before you must discharge the PSU
- Unplug the PSU power cord from the wall
- Press and hold the case start button for 20 seconds
