A keyboard only or minimal interface plugin/app?

Hi! I need a way to show the notes being played to students over Zoom -- a keyboard with visual feedback. There are a gazillion of choices -- like 99.9% of all the VSTs out there -- but what I'm looking for is software whose interface consists solely of a keyboard, possibly with a minimal row of controls. Not a screenful of knobs and faders with a little keyboard tucked away in a corner. Or maybe something that has a keyboard only mode. Preferably: good looking, standalone, cheap/free, Windows 7. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Usually teachers use a webcam mounted on a small tripod above the piano.

I had the answer all typed up then* saw the last line, “Windows 7” lol.
Would be a non issue if on Mac, GarageBand has a big ol MIDI keyboard display.
Best of luck.

That's what I did but it's a bulky setup and I hate the fisheye effect and it's the 21st century out there and everything's going virtual anyway.FranklyFlawless wrote: Fri Jun 16, 2023 10:33 pm Usually teachers use a webcam mounted on a small tripod above the piano.

Thanks! I presume in GarageBand you can hide the main window and leave only the keyboard display visible. That's an option at least.i need Help wrote: Sat Jun 17, 2023 3:00 am Would be a non issue if on Mac, GarageBand has a big ol MIDI keyboard display.

So in true Apple fashion, you can't minimize the main window and have just the keyboard, because that would make too much sense lol. You can just move it off screen, completely or partially, though like this:ivan_lt wrote: Sat Jun 17, 2023 9:35 amThanks! Also as expected from the above, GarageBand has to be in focus or the midi keyboard disappears (technically it's just hiding all other app windows, which I guess makes sense.
I mean I know what you're wanting to do from your description above, and I could prob make it work, but YMMV.
P.S. FYI you can make the keyboard bigger/smaller, and also extend/contract to show more/less keys.

Thanks! I do appreciate! That's indeed a working solution, free and preinstalled
