I fixed a bug with the display of stepped knobs not showing the correct value for the parameter, added back the save dialogue box for presets, and changed the UI scale menu to use 75%, 100%, 125%, and 150%. I also improved automation when moving stepped controls on the UI to only send data when the step changes. Fingers crossed this is the last update for a little while and has fixed all the bugs with the update to Juce7 / VST3 / Apple Silicon :)
I would say 125% is very welcomed size! Didn't know it will be perfect middle ground between huge 150 and average 100 :)
Save windows works perfect too
So far so good!

Happy to report that everything seems working well with v1.6.8 on my system!

Update: I'll be wrapping up the work on The Scream and The Drop this year, and early next year will commence work on The Glue v2 with HD mode, which I'll provide more detail as I'm working on it.

I plan to make this update free for all fully paid up customers: ie if you forked out USD 99 for The Glue, and you still own your license, you'll get the update to v2 for free. For those that purchased directly from Cytomic at a discount, and you still own your license, you can pay the difference to USD 99 for the update. The aim here is to reward "existing customers" for hanging in there with their license, and to receive payment from others to help fund the development effort.

I'm happy to chat about this and what everyone thinks is fair, but I'm not really inclined to give free non-maintenance type updates to anyone that hasn't supported Cytomic directly with a purchase from our web page.

Does that mean that customers who got a license for the The Glue via license transfer will have to pay full price for The Glue v2?

Yes. The Glue v1 will continue to be supported for many years yet, so it will continue to operate as purchased and will include further minor version updates for free.

That is fair, no question. But since customers with a "used" license are also your customers maybe give them an advantage too, e. g. an upgrade fee which is not full price?

I got the glue around 1 month ago 2nd hand... should have waited i guess...

https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/customer

Someone that owns a license is a license owner, someone that has purchased software from Cytomic is a customer of Cytomic.

If you buy a 2nd hand car do you expect anything from the manufacturer of that car apart from their obligations to replace or fix parts under their regular warranty?

I am happy to discuss what everyone thinks is fair, and although Cytomic doesn't generate any income from 2nd hand license owners, I do agree that if we can encourage them to send some money our way that would be a good thing.

Perhaps this schedule?

* $99 current customers get a free upgrade
* $69 discount current customers pay $30 for the upgrade
* current license owners pay $69 for the upgrade so they get a 30% off deal

This is a fair offer, it would convert license owners to customers. It's a win-win situation for everyone.

Also, until v2 is done and released it is vapourware, so this is all currently academic and I make no promises as to outcomes in the future beyond my control!

My proposal:
10 USD upgrade for customers who bought directly from Cytomic website at full price
30 USD upgrade for customers who bought directly from Cytomic website at discounted price and the ones who bought 2nd hand license somewhere else

So to summarise:
V2 is planned for 2024 and will primarily contain an HD mode. The update will be free for all those who have bought the full version. Right?

Yes, V2 is planned for the 1st half of 2024 and is mainly about the HD mode, for more detailed analog modelling in the main signal path. I will stick to my word that those that purchased the full version by paying $99 directly Cytomic via the web page to get v2 as a free update. Does that cover your question?
