GAS hits, searching for a new synth

Hey folks,
GAS hits again.
I’m searching for a synth, new or old, doesn’t matter, with a digital engine and a polyphony, a keyboard, one that can sound digitally musical, think of Nord Lead 2.
I had a hydrasynth and didn’t like it at all. I also have few elektron boxes, but they don’t sound anything like the Nord.
Please help!

But, jokes aside. Also consider a Virus TI2 Keyboard. I think they also have quite nice keys, and are very musical sounding.

Get someone to pat you on the back until you belch it up and get back to making music...it will pass if you focus on that and less time looking at new shiny things.

Personally, I think my favorite Nord Lead was the NL4, followed closely by the NL3, which is the most unique of the Lead series. I second the recommendation for the Access Virus TI2, though. That would be my first choice in a digital synth (I've owned about a dozen different versions and currently have a Polar TI2). If you want something a bit more modern, maybe consider a Modal Electronics Cobalt8 in the 61 key version, or maybe even a digital/analog hybrid like the Novation Summit?

Have you looked at the Waldorf Blofeld keyboard? I'm a very late convert, having just FINALLY bought a Blofeld desktop last year, but this little synth has blown away my expectations. In the past, I had honestly been under the wrong impression that it would overlap too much with my other digital synths (e.g., Virus, Nords, Novations), but it's really in a class all its own, sounds amazing, and covers so much ground with a humongous sweet spot. I know it gets a lot of disrespect for the knob issues (which I believe were corrected in the keyboard version, if I'm not mistaken, but someone please correct me if I'm wrong) and some people don't get on with the matrix-style editing approach, but these have not been an issue for me at all and I actually like the way the matrix is implemented. It's obviously not knob-per-function, but it's a nice balance of simple, quick, and efficient with a compact form factor.

The sound and features are very nice. The operation is a bit of an issue, and the reason why I sent my Blofeld desktop back, also comparing it to Largo, which literally sounds the same (Largo is a bit brighter, and has much more bass when you apply the bass boost, which I find a bit exaggerated). But, if you don't mind that, or use a software editor, it's a really nice synth, and quite inexpensive (although I found it's rather a 420 € synth, which it cost some years ago, than a 500 € synths, which it is now).

Edit: It's even 549 € now. Fkn hell...

Nord 2x/2 are rare to see on sale, while Nord 4 is much more accessible, not sure I like the sound of the second as I like the first.
Virus is great, but hey, Nords are Ferrari red.
