Pulling my hair out with DAWs. Thought Waveform would work. Using MacOS Catalina. Waveform 12. Able to record from my usb mic and Yamaha keyboard fine. Plays in Waveform. Unfortunately i am unable to get any usable export file - wav, is just a garbled mess as is mp3. I can just about hear the mic part - keyboard doesn't exist.

I've now tried Garageband - useless, only 1 input allowed. Cubase - crap - doesn't recognise a usb mic - period.

So i now a nice recording in Waveform and it looks like that is were it with remain. Jeez.

Doesn't sound like a Waveform issue, but it's hard to understand what your issue is (I understand English may not be your primary language).

The way I understood it, Waveform is the only program which worked for him.

For whatever reason.

Not sure what you don't understand. Waveform records my inputs fine. It does not 'export' a usable file. 2 inputs - a keyboard and Mic. Export to wav or mp3. Same result - mic recorded, poorly. Keyboard not exported at all.

we're not psychic so provide usable information, like detailing the actual things you did to export, step by step, or show screengrabs etc.

No worries. I followed the steps to export as detailed here - . I've asked a simple civil question. Plenty of attitude here. Pity. I surrender. Bye.

Hmm, interesting, that's now the third thread you've started where you reported some weird problem with Waveform and then disengaged when people tried to help. Plenty of attitude here indeed. Bye.

Id typically set a loop range and export to a file (only render marked region) and pretty much just use the defaults and it worked.

12 pro on windows (and every version back to v3).

I don't use it much, but 12 is vastly more stable than previous. If I weren't married to Live, I might give it a real shot.

I tried v12 as my side piece, but still had some of the same issues as earlier versions. I dropped it originally because there was a huge bug in bouncing automation. It didn't. :(

The original paradigm is quite wonderful, butt it seems to be getting too cluttered as they add features.
I started on Logic 5 with a PowerBook G4 550Mhz. I now have a MacBook Air M1 and it's ~165x faster! So, why is my music not proportionally better? :(

Where did you ask a question? There isn't one in your initial post...

Try harder, they all can do what you claim they can‘t. Beside manuals there are plenty of resources on the net…
Its beginners frustration I understand, a course in how to ask smart might get you more helpful answers…
