The only thing I see on that page is my Ultimate subscription and two loyalty keys which haven’t yet been redeemed. I’m just trying to figure out which product the Lifetime key I purchased and redeemed was for so that I don’t waste a Loyalty key on a product I already own.

That is correct. I’ve subscribed to RC Ultimate from the very beginning and have 10 instruments “for life” sitting in my basket to choose from that I can claim upon cancelling my subscription.EnochLight wrote: Thu Jun 29, 2023 1:27 pmYou are currently subscribed to the Ultimate program, so you literally have everything. Not cancelling though yet, just enjoying the ride for now
PS; If Roland will not update all their instruments to AS VST3 by the of this year, I’m considering bailing out of it…
Out of all major software developers, Roland is the last standing being blacklisted in Cubase

By the end of 2023 might be a tall order - I'll be surprised to see everything as VST3 in 6 months. I'd wager by the end of 2024 might be a more realistic view.Atlatnesiti wrote: Thu Jun 29, 2023 1:52 pm If Roland will not update all their instruments to AS VST3 by the of this year, I’m considering bailing out of it…
Of course, that would be after after we get....

About as funny as no ACB JX-8P that we can load onto our System-8...

Yeah, but my subscription expires in July, which is why I’m preparing now. Even though I’ve had Ultimate for a year, I hadn’t even logged in or installed anything until yesterday. It was a busy day of evaluation, but I formed a couple of quick impressions:EnochLight wrote: Thu Jun 29, 2023 1:27 pmYou are currently subscribed to the Ultimate program, so you literally have everything. 1. The number of patches available for all the instruments is pretty weak. In a world where there must be thousands of sound banks floating around, what Roland offers feels limited. In addition to the factory banks, most synths have 2-3 additional banks available. I own Arturia’s V Collection, and the number of banks/patches they provide are overwhelming by comparison. I would think this is an easy area where Roland could provide value, and I’m kind of disappointed.
2. Nothing new has been released or even announced in the year that I’ve paid for Ultimate. By comparison, Arturia is constantly adding instruments and sound banks and effects to their products. Native Instruments is the same way. Those are my two main points of comparison. I’m not big on subscriptions, but a sub to NI constantly gives you something new to play with. I’m honestly not sure if Roland is working on new things or not. But how hard could it be to offer a new sound bank for a different synth each month? Even if those are just curated collections from the public domain, it would feel like there’s some activity happening.
3. Why no love for the R8 MKII? Compared to the analog synths, a drum machine has to be relatively easy to emulate. Even the rack mount version would suffice.
4. Even after reading and watching YouTube videos, and now after getting my hands dirty, I just do not understand Zenology. I’m probably missing out, but after an hour of messing around with loading patches to get a feel for the product, my patience for trying to figure it out is gone.
The model-specific VSTs are much more intuitive to me. I know how my D-50 works, so moving to a virtual D-50 is an easy transition. I was figuring out the buttons and knobs on the JD-800 and XV-5080 modules in a matter of seconds. But Zenology just made my head hurt. If someone wants to explain what I’m overlooking, maybe the light bulb will come on for me.

That’s pretty much why I let my Roland Cloud sub run its course. I really only signed up so I could get some Lifetime licenses for some Legendary plugins that I wanted. If they do actually release an ACB of the JX-8P (that I can put on my System-8), then and only then will I sub again. Otherwise, I’m done.ToddlerTN wrote: Thu Jun 29, 2023 3:53 pm It was a busy day of evaluation, but I formed a couple of quick impressions:

Unfortunately, this doesn't work for me... I get an "Unable to delete products for (my email) attached to the rule." error message when I try to delete, so maybe this was a loophole that they closedEnochLight wrote: Thu Jun 29, 2023 1:25 pm Yes - if your instrument has a trash can icon next to it, then you can delete that instrument and choose a different one to keep. I have done this several times, though I only choose stuff from the Legendary collection.

Do you have a current subscription? I’ve seen some people say you can switch using only a free Roland account, and I’ve seen others claim you need to sign up for a month of Pro to be able to switch.victoria wrote: Thu Jun 29, 2023 9:06 pmUnfortunately, this doesn't work for me... Anyone saying you can switch choices, with a "free" account, is plain wrong. You need an active paid sub. Doesn't matter if it's only for 1 month at the lowest level, or a year of ultimate. As long as it's paid and active you can switch.ToddlerTN wrote: Thu Jun 29, 2023 10:53 pmDo you have a current subscription? I signed up for a month in order to switch and still get the error. Emailed support and they said they had discontinued that ability to switch. But the trash icons are still there, you just get an error.PAK wrote: Thu Jun 29, 2023 11:53 pmAnyone saying you can switch choices, with a "free" account, is plain wrong. Jon said that once your P4L subscription is over you can no longer change your lifetime key. That's different from before, I remember seeing all you needed to do was sign up for a paid plan for a month and change it over.

Actually a "once in a lifetime" key.
Same as it ever was.
