But, it can be used as a standalone live processor, so it’s good as a replacement for Waves SoundGrid for live sound.
IK Multimedia Mixbox? [Qualifies for group buy promo] - NOT ANYMORE, THEY UPDATED THE TERMS AND RESTARTED THE GROUP BUY

MODO line, Tapes line, AT5 & ToneX are the ones to pay attention to.

What is difficult to understand here? Nothing, perhaps they made a mistake, and he is justified in saying that it should qualify for the group buy. And it did before, till they realized their mistake and updated the terms.jens wrote: Fri Jun 30, 2023 10:33 pmWhat is difficult to understand here? It qualifies as a 99$ product if you add it to the cart at that price - it doesn't if you purchase it for 29$ from a retailer as a special deal.MountainKing wrote: Fri Jun 30, 2023 9:45 pm So, how can it be it doesn't qualify? Which kind of nonsense is that?
Use some common sense people - and don't be greedy beyond limits.
Just because I bought my Mustang from a third party dealership and not from Ford directly, doesn't mean that it's any less of a Mustang. The dealership made a personal choice to sell it to me for a fraction of the price.
Anyways, I understand that it was a mistake on their end in terms of communication and I'm fine with that. Doesn't mean MixBox isn't MixBox still.

It seems we're both around here in this space for a long time now. You know and I know that IKM's GroupBuys happened a lot of times. And it NEVER was like it is now.jens wrote: Fri Jun 30, 2023 10:33 pmWhat is difficult to understand here? If you had registered a qualifying product for the GB you were eligible for the promo every single time. Even if you registered a license that you had gotten for free from an earlier, different kind of IKM promo it worked flawlessly.
Now I even double-checked their site to see if Mixbox was qualified. And it was. So I pulled the trigger, bought it, and registered the license to my IKM account.
And then they are telling us "No, won't work in case you bought the license from an Octopus....?"
Come on. You're better than that. That's silly.
Has nothing to do with greed at all. It's just being active in free markets trying to get the most out of limited resources.
I hope Peter@IKM can solve this very unfortunate issue.

Yup, can confirm that. Last group buy I had a Black 76 license kicking around I'd got for free as part of a promo but never used as I already had that plugin. Used it in the group buy and managed to get pretty much every Amplitube amp, speaker, mic and stomp that I was missing for free. I felt very pleased with myself.MountainKing wrote: Sat Jul 01, 2023 9:16 amIf you had registered a qualifying product for the GB you were eligible for the promo every single time. I did also buy in at the €129.99 level to get a bunch of other plugins I was lacking if that makes you feel any better

The IK Multimedia drama is going on and on and on, only the shades of grey are different. I stopped giving them my money some time ago.

I'm asking the Octopus for a refund tonight when I get back home. Unless, IK change their mind about it.

But nobody out there is beating ToneX, MODO, and Tapes. IK does good, not perfect.

I am just very particular when it comes to inline shops, bloated sample instruments or the eternal hot mess with things going wrong at several occasions.
I've switched everything to Arturia, u-he, Fabfilter, Tal and the likes and never really looked back.

You both need to go on a re-education course. Be the best customer you can be. OBEY!
This is the same method MJ used when he was working on Anthony Marinelli's Thriller.
