Random notes etc Cubase

Hi
In studio one I can generate random notes within a pitch range with random lengths and velocities for a midi clip
Is it possible to use the logical editor to do the same in cubase? I'm not a genius logician so would appreciate any presets for this.
Thanks

Sorry, just to turn this around - not sure how I would do it in Cubase - but, how do you do this in S1 please.? Is it something new to v6.x.x

Not new at all in S1....I used to have a key command to open the random note generation function
Was so easy to get ideas up and running
Cubase has midi modifiers and logical editor but not sure how to set this up to do the same

One of the funnest ways to do things is to use the step designer in the midi inserts to mess with pitch gate and velocity (theres a random button here too)....then freeze midi inserts which prints all the inserts into the clip...wa la

Yeah, logical editor would be the way to go in Cubase. I used to do similar things way back in the early Cubase days in the 90s, e.g. for adding a bit of randomization in hihat lines etc. It's a long time since I've done anything like that though...I remember the effort not being worth the results usually. I even randomized stuff for a homemade editor for my Juno, which involved hex code. The hex code lines for 106s were very long
Logical editor might have got easier over they intervening years? I remember it being quite convoluted to set up. If you've figured out how to do it in S1, I'd stick with it, despite Cubase traditionally being the king of MIDI.

You can also use MIDI modifiers on a tracl to randomize note pitch/lengths/velocity/timing etc and define ranges for each

Here’s a link that outlines what you can do: https://steinberg.help/cubase_pro_artis ... ion_r.html
Can’t get much simpler than this.

Yes idd, easiest way is to use the randomize functions in the midi modifier.
Logical Editor, Step sequencer, Groove Templates and Chord assistant can also do lots of random stuff. And i'm probably forgetting other ways.
If you want help (or presets) for the Logical Editor/Macros, i know that Dash Glitch did a few vids about it on YouTube. Do this search and you'll find a few : youtube dash glitch random cubase
