Roughly 25 years ago, some famous artist put hundreds of giant yellow umbrellas in the mountains in Southern California; check out the link below. It must have cost the artist a fortune, and they were there for a fairly short amount of time (3 weeks). Anyway, I think your song sounds very good. I'm pretty sure I hear pitch correction in some of the vocals too, but I'm guessing it sounds better with it on, yes? The vocals sound good on the recording. Nice song!

Hmm, the only thing that has been done to the processing here
is that individual syllables have been shortened or lengthened
a bit. But really minimal. You can probably hear that - with your
super-sensitive hearing.

Another good song from you Andy, and the mix was lively and engaging. I really liked the lead guitar tone, and it sits nicely in the mix without overpowering other instruments. I didn't need the lyrics pdf for this song - they came through very clearly. The yellow scratchplate on the Ibanez was on-point

The song holds up well to multiple listens. I had to read the website to understand what the yellow umbrella signified. These lyrics are focused on one idea whereas usually your lyrics involve multiple characters and how decisions they make impact their lives over time. This song was a nice change of pace.

Yes - interesting observation. Sometimes it's simple things that are
moving and that keep you busy for a long time. And so also with
"Yellow Umbrella".

The arrangement had interesting variations shifting between acoustic and electric guitars. The electric leads sounded great. The electric rhythm guitar part was a bit basic and could perhaps be more animated. There were some prominently featured bass slides that I think didn't need to be so upfront in the mix.

Ahh, indeed - thanks for the opinion. The heavy guitar in the chorus
is indeed kept simple. It's a compositional decision, but if it's too
noticeable and disrupts the flow, we should revise it.

The overall mix/master was not too loud this time making it a more enjoyable and less fatiguing listen.

I would second, I had to go to the website to really grasp the lyric. After reading the site the lyric were easier to follow and made sense, really like the elec guitar parts. Drum sound is solid, mix is good. Nice to hear the acoustic Guitar
So it's put together really well and the more I listen to it, the more I like it. That's a good thing
My opinion: probably would have cut the scrape muted guitar at the turn around, the ending could be more defined.

Yellow Umbrella as a touchstone for romance, couldn't help but think Red Rubber Ball by the Circle

The voice could be in the verse a tiny bit bigger (for my personal taste) - i was thinking about some vocal doubler etc.
But tbh i have no experience in mixing vocals. so maybe everything is fine already.
