Sounds seriously good. Got the official CV model by UAD, Overlouds Sculptube(naff) and i had Decapitator to compare it against and this won for me by a country mile
BUT as per usual, everything else about Tone Empire/Beatskillz plugins is a trainwreck. Auto gain that doesn't function properly, poorly implemented dry/wet, knobs that don't really have any function, no oversampling on this one, but if it had it i guarantee it would crash most DAW's as is often the case with however they approach it.
Its bizarre they've been around now as long as they have and they still have all these issues. How can somebody not come away with the impression that they just don't give a shit??
I'll probably buy it though like i did the Locness as their plugins do sound good, they just need to sort out everything else

Seriously disagree,i have almost all their stuff, can't say everything, but some plugins are top notch - Black Q is one of the most musical eq i've ever use, optored, model 5000 and goliath are nice too and give character and warmth.
The rest are ok and pro usable without to be amazing, imho.
Matter of taste i guess
Cheers

I think I found the reason for the discrepancy between the sound quality and usability of these plugins. Jatin makes them sound great and the BeatSkillz devs make them crappy to use.

Might not be perfect but surely also not all that bad. Their Model 5000 and Goliath are really good. Also the new Tape and LVL-01 have their very unique Flavor, few Bugs could be fixed for sure, yet thats nothing which cant be done.
You can be creative in any right place on Earth, and not only in the wealthiest cities. Bring the world feelings from everywhere, and not only feelings of capitalistic or jail environment.

Try playing back audio thru their plugins at different sample rates and notice how different they sound. That's the sound of amateur programming. and they won't fix it. most likely because it doesn't matter to them. They'll be onto the next new plug that gullible newbs will shell out for.VELLTONE MUSIC wrote: Thu Jul 06, 2023 10:29 amSeriously disagree,i have almost all their stuff, can't say everything, but some plugins are top notch - Black Q is one of the most musical eq i've ever use, optored, model 5000 and goliath are nice too and give character and warmth.

The guy behind this latest plugin is one of the best in the business.
He's far from an "amateur".

That seems accurate. Most of the praise in the comments are about the sound, the negative is in relation to the functionality. Jatan Chadhury develops some awesome stuff imo, I've never even noticed Tone Empire so i can't comment.hey212 wrote: Thu Jul 06, 2023 4:19 pm I think I found the reason for the discrepancy between the sound quality and usability of these plugins. Jatin is a very good programmer no doubt, but one of the best in the business is a reach at this point. And unfortunately he has allowed his programming to be sullied by Beatskillz/Tone Empire.
Did you even listen to how different the plugin sounds at differing sample rates???
