I remember when this was announced and kickstarted back in 2016 (I think it was 2016). It's finally coming out July 20th.

Anything sold exclusively on the MacApp store is either a toy or a one trick pony. The latter meaning what you heard in the video sounded really cool but most likely the best that app could do.
Ask not what your DAW can do for you, but what you can do with your DAW

Eh, for sure it was written for "his purposes", but the fun part of releasing a product like this is that people will surprise you on how they eek out different use cases.? ? ? wrote: Fri Jul 07, 2023 1:30 pm Anything sold exclusively on the MacApp store is either a toy or a one trick pony. As for stuff sold in the App Store, there's lots of "non toys" in there. I wouldn't consider Logic, Affinity, Resolve, Lightroom, <insert a lot of apps here> as toys. I just don't think he wants to jack with a distribution system for his app and mess with installers. He can do all of that through the App Store and not worry about it.
This looks like he took a digitakt and a digitone and exploded all the menu diving into one screen, plus added a lot of bussing and fx routing. Looks like a fun groovebox to sit in bed with on the laptop and have a go

Those apps aren't exclusive to the mac app store with the exception of Logic but it's a pro app bought by apple and made exclusive.drez wrote: Fri Jul 07, 2023 5:57 pm As for stuff sold in the App Store, there's lots of "non toys" in there. I wouldn't consider Logic, Affinity, Resolve, Lightroom
I rest my case.Looks like a fun groovebox to sit in bed with on the laptop and have a go![]()

You are absolutely right. Nothing good can come from this app. Every other app sold from not in the App Store is superior in every way and can do all the things that this app can do..and moar!? ? ? wrote: Fri Jul 07, 2023 6:47 pmThose apps aren't exclusive to the mac app store with the exception of Logic but it's a pro app bought by apple and made exclusive.drez wrote: Fri Jul 07, 2023 5:57 pm As for stuff sold in the App Store, there's lots of "non toys" in there. Show me where I posted anything insinuating *nothing* good can come out if this app. As a matter of fact I stated what i heard in the video sounds cool but more than likely that's the best that'll come out of it. That's obviously *something* good. If it turns out to be a groundbreaking new evolution in the history of beat making then so be it. It really doesn't matter anyway because PC is better than MAC.
I didn't realize CorelDRAW made beats.Every other app sold from not in the App Store is superior in every way and can do all the things that this app can do
You spelled "more" rawng...and moar!

What is the pedantic nature of this forum?
Not going to waste any more of my time with you, bro.
If that wasn't easy to interpret based on the first iteration, this should help clarify.

Nothing toy or one trick pony about this. Strange axiom (if on MacApp Store, then must be toy/one trick pony).? ? ? wrote: Fri Jul 07, 2023 1:30 pm Anything sold exclusively on the MacApp store is either a toy or a one trick pony. 'most likely the best that app could do' - clearly you haven't been following the development of this software (which has been going on for a long time, too long imo). Nor by the sounds of it have you looked into what the software does.
A more accurate statement would be that the video represents a very particular sound and way of using the software (with the choice of samples and synthesis that Dub Russell likes to use).
Looking forward to seeing what people make with this software.

Resurrecting this slightly older thread. This piece of software is a beast!
