Whats your experience of sketching musical ideas in a cafe with laptop and headphones?

Actually I do like to split up the production process into two parts sometimes, the creative part which can happen basically everywhere outside the studio and of course the mixing and mastering part in the studio.
For me working at a cafe is very inspirational, looking at people running around outside or simply being in a different environment than usual helps to let my creativeness flow. Sometimes people look at my laptop and simply don't understand what I am doing, that's actually quite funny. Also had some interesting conversations and actually met other musicians who recognized that I am using Ableton.
But I personally think you have to choose the cafe wisely. I live in a big city and sometimes it's just too loud, no matter which cafe I decide to go to. Using noise cancelling only helps to a certain extent haha
Unfortunately sometimes when I work at a cafe, I feel way better about what I am producing - and when I get back to the studio I realize that my sketch wasn't really that nice.
I wouldn't do it everyday but overall it's a great experience I think!

Beautiful French women are always approaching me, interrupting my creative process. I can't tell you how many I have told to piss off.
Doing nothing is only fun when you have something you are supposed to do.

Anytime I take a laptop to a cafe, after about an hour i start to feel bad about loitering so i order more coffee and inevitably up, uh, producing elsewhere.
