In the early days of Cinematic Rooms (possibly before I'd even finished it), Simon Franglen was composing for Avatar 2/3 and he said the reverb had played a role in inspiring a cue. That ended up as one of the testimonials on the site in fact. His compliment itself was very inspiring to me. He has been so helpful over the years, it's great to see so much kindness and generosity from such a talented and busy guy.MogwaiBoy wrote: Mon Jul 10, 2023 9:42 pm In terms of getting an inspiring room sound, Liquidsonics has it.
Is there such a thing as an inspiring reverb?

The reverb algos from eventide H3000 unit are the best I've ever heard... They make you go fire up a session and make something... Nothing in software sounds like it.

Drugs aren't cool you know..and why you're exclaiming how high you are randomly in a thread about reverbs only god knows. I guess to score cool points with the kids.. My suggestion is that you stop using drugs, lay off the computer for a month, and kvr for at least 1 year and see how you do.vurt wrote: Mon Jul 10, 2023 5:42 pm im too high (and weak) to fight

I also have Eventide Ultrareverb and Black Hole.Masterofdisaster wrote: Tue Jul 11, 2023 9:42 am The reverb algos from eventide H3000 unit are the best I've ever heard... They make you go fire up a session and make something... Nothing in software sounds like it.
Ultra does say "UltraReverb brings you the best reverb effects from our most prestigious hardware products" It is decent reverb but I did not have a jaw dropping moment as yet.
Am I in luck or are the coveted super H3000 reverbs only ever locked in the hardware box.
*It seems Ultrareverb is inspired by the H8000 verbs.

Super massive is free and quite inspiring for me. Of course, inspiration could = hours of fun but no "work" getting done.
i cavwd and added to the list
ps. i'm not that high (yet), but exhausted from heat so i don't want to fight either.

Mad scientist Q
Are there any reverbs that let's you modulate the room size (or pre-delay) without any clicks and pops?

Redline Reverb, or if budget is tight try its little brother Mikron.
You might also enjoy Audio Damage EOS 2, but your choices will really be most informed by the kind of music you make.
An inspirational reverb for orchestral music would generally be quite different to an inspirational reverb for RnB, to use two random examples.
Valhalla Room is probably the industry standard for being able to fit in anywhere in style, from orchestral to EDM, everybody uses it. And if you need MORE it sounds amazing when you run a couple instances in series. It can sound absolutely huge.
There are plenty of (12?) different room/hall/space/plate algos onboard with different characteristics, so it's pretty deep, lots to explore and tweak without being overwhelming. Very easy to work with.
Inspiring
Desert island reverb for sure.
