Is this a meme thing ? Where does this image originate I have seen a couple of times and it must mean something.
Is there such a thing as an inspiring reverb?

Yeah absolutely. No need for an internal LFO or envelope. But without clicks? I don't recall ever trying a reverb that doesn't create clicks when changing the size with a long tail.Synthman2000 wrote: Wed Jul 12, 2023 9:36 amI would have thought all of them with DAW automation ?DrGonzo wrote: Wed Jul 12, 2023 8:51 am Mad scientist Q
Are there any reverbs that let's you modulate the room size (or pre-delay) without any clicks and pops?

Not sure what it's supposed to mean, but, it's from Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.Synthman2000 wrote: Wed Jul 12, 2023 9:38 amIs this a meme thing ? Where does this image originate I have seen a couple of times and it must mean something.![]()

There's an echo in here. Looks like a 1/4D ping pong delay

You might loathe it.
Shows what a diverse and great actor Johnny Depp is though.

It’s definitely more than just the NONLIN2 algorithm. The algos have a real fun lively character and do things with space I find difficult or not satisfying with other comparable reverb/effects.

Madrona Labs' Aaltoverb lets you change the size without any clicks.
It's similar to adjusting a delay time smoothly.

For me the ported plugin version of Strymon BigSky has been extremely inspiring. I often feel that when composing or coming up with ideas, trying to play with some (or a lot) of reverb does help you with new ideas and makes you think in a different way.

Try AdamSzabo Solaris for a start it's free, I tried adjusting tail in real time and heard zero clicks. Though I admit I did not automate it in the DAW but cannot see why that would make a difference whther it is me or the DAW twiddling. In due course I will test all my reverbs and get back to you.DrGonzo wrote: Wed Jul 12, 2023 9:42 amYeah absolutely. No need for an internal LFO or envelope. But without clicks?
