We have Reason 2.5 installed on various workstations at work - I also have it on my laptop. Installed it without problem (as you would expect) and I remember that when I ran it for the first time I was asked to insert the two refill cds as part of the verification process. Since then I have not needed the cds to use the program.

Suddenly, today, it has asked for the cds for verification again (after weeks of use).

Is this normal?

It will become a problem if a class full of students sits down and one day without warning it suddenly asks for the cds again - they are locked away in a different building to the classroom - by the time we have re-verified each machine the class will be over!

The Head of Music is going to contact Propellerhead but I thought I'd ask here first.

did you install the orkester soundbank and the factory soundbank on the hard disks?

I did that, and it has never ever asked me to re-insert the CD to verify it again

Yes. They're both in C:\Program Files\Propellerhead\Reason.

Hmm. Does this mean it could be a problem with my laptop?

No, I've had the same thing happening. But only once in 2 months.

The only time that happened here was when I added or subtracted RAM.
