Well, now that I have learned something new, I can let you know there there are standard folders for user, global, and application. I had only ever seen the global one before. In any case, I simply uninstalled Cryptid and used the "install-it-yourself" download to put Cryptid into the global VST3 folder. Perhaps as a cryptid it's used to being lonely but I don't like the idea of a single plugin existing in invisible space where I'm 100% sure I will forget about.
