some companies tend to ignore/try to not reply to uncomfortable questions :)
To be fair, in this case, I'm pretty sure it was answered on one of the prior pages. IE Contact customer service, explain the situation, and they'll handle it on a case by case basis. (Edit: It was more vague than this, and was in reference to "lost" keys", but I would still try anyway ;) )

So if you're stuck with keys you don't want, because of the policy change, they appear willing to help. (Please let us know if anyone finds otherwise.. )

It's still an overall negative change, in terms of user friendly policies, though.

Oh really? well there were a lot of posts, I don't remember seeing anyone that got their keys reverted but I suppose I can just have missed it. I can try contacting support and see what happens.

Yours are subjective because you decided to ignore objective reality.
It's my objective perspective that you have no idea how to properly quote someone in a basic Internet forum.

For a 5 year old, you sound pretty mature. I almost thought you were 10!

Hmm.. I read through much of it again there, and it appears that what I was referencing was actually in regards to anyone who "lost" keys (people who hadn't selected keys at all, when their membership ended, and can no longer select them).

But, considering they made these changes with zero announcements, I would ask them anyway. Customers are a lot more likely, to be a future customer again, if you don't piss them off.. So hopefully some common sense should prevail. Let us know how it goes though.. :)

Jon at Roland wrote: Thu Jul 20, 2023 10:46 pm Hey everyone! Jon from Roland Cloud here.

Thank you so much to all the Roland Cloud Roundtable participants. It was so great to interact with some of our community members face to face and have an open discussion about the future of Roland Cloud. We learned so much from the wide variety of workflows and opinions that were shared and we are very much looking forward to doing another one soon.

That being said, if you missed this event and would like to attend a Roundtable in the future, please comment here and we’ll reach out to you for the next one!

We appreciate all of your feedback and support.
As always, feel free to reach out to me anytime with questions or concerns you may have. :phones:
"We appreciate all your feedback"... ?! LoL
Nothing new was announced, no user concerns were addressed...
... and what was the point of this "Roundtable" again?

They did ask for feedback in the Roundtable. Is there anyone else on this thread other than me who took the time to participate?
Apart from me, there really wasn't much complaints, the other users on the chat seemed fine and for the most part trouble free with RC, and they did answer any question they could (clearly they didn't give future plans).

No, I didn’t take the time to participate as it was past midnight on a week night.

It gets us back to the question of how many fake, conjured up job positions really exist. Imitation of activity where nothing really gets done. I mean, Roland hired these people and pays them money for their "activities", but it's all for the show, just to create an illusion that things are working, however, it's akin to employing paint drying watchers, professional sleepers or a weatherman in San Diego that keeps saying "it's going to be sunny" for a millionth time. These people are useless.

And the guy before Jon, he was useless as well. They don't really listen to your questions and they always ignore hard ones, responses are almost automated like you're talking to a robot, with the previous guy I couldn't even tell was it a bot replying or a human. In the end it appeared it was human speaking inhuman language, like reciting quotes from the manual word for word.

Replies are frugal and not satisfactory in terms of provided information, it often doesn't answer your concerns and you have to ask the same question for a few pages straight before MAYBE you get another half-assed answer. This happened too many times already for Roland to deny.

So honestly, what is the point of all this red tape? Just to merely indicate Roland is "present" on KVR forum? Just to check that box in their books? Well, it's a theater, it's merely for the show. This "presence" doesn't solve anything and doesn't help Roland customers.

"We appreciate your feedback" or another bureaucratic, corporate line incoming in 3, 2, 1...

Couldn’t agree more :)
Well said :D

There were about 4 or might have been 5 Roland Reps on the chat.
Did anyone here other than me, even bother to join it? Or is it just easier to anonymously complain?
(cause yes it was a video call with names).

You didn’t miss anything - no new announcements, no concerns addressed, no nothing :bang:

There were no concerns raised other than the ones I raised which aren't the ones most people on this thread speak about.

It didn't go well. I explained the situation in as nice manner as possible and asked if there was any possibility for them to reset my keys so I could make a new choice. Here's the reply from Roland Cloud Support:

Thanks for contacting us!
Sorry, once the membership which earned the reward ends, the choices are final.

So that's that. Now my choices aren't all that terrible (I feel bad for the person who wasted two keys on SRX boards though) it just pisses me off that it's come to this. For as much money as I've poured into Roland, this is where we're at. Fine, you know what? I'm done. My studio partner is done. I'll keep Zenology Pro around but you're not getting another dime from either of us. Bye.

Well whatever, it’s looking likely I’ll not be subbing again this year so I’ll have spent that money on something else by the time they get round to telling me if there is or isn’t anything new coming.

Victoria’s reply from support puts the tin lid on it for me.

Behaviour you expect from a tinpot manufacturer, not one with 50 years of pro audio history. Seems they’re getting out the laurels for a long rest.
