I'd also expect a new factory library. Entirely plausible that that alone would be an equivalent of an XP or so, and go a long way to the upgrade price.

Oh sorry, didn't spot you meant 'By Note' - don't know of any way to do that. But you can route each voice any way you want.

Hi,

I'm considering to purchase VPS Avenger in the near future. Possibly with one of the expansion options. Currently they have a Summer discount of 33% off the regular price.

Q. Is Avenger 2.0 available at this time, or it is still at ver 1.8.5 ? (Oh. I noticed ver 2.0 is expected during Q3/Q4 this year, so it's not out yet at this time.

So... Would you recommend Avenger 1.8.5 ? I'm guessing there will be an upgrade price to ver 2.0 from ver 1.xx when ver 2 is released.

yes, I just saw that ver 2 is expected to be out during Q3/Q4 this year.

Would you recommend Avenger to be used as a general all around synth, that is very flexible, and can be used in many production applications, i.e. film scoring, electronic music, ..etc. ?

I am not the best person to ask, but for sure the presets and the banks are imho geared towards electronic music.

But of course if you are programming your own sounds I imagine you can use it for much wider purposes.

There is the cinematic grand and cinematic 1-3, two of which I think are co sound designed by Kevin Schroeder who has been working with Hans Z recently in film.

See if any of them float your boat. (I personally use other options for these purposes.)

Yes, it’s a good all-rounder. Fun to program too - really quick to get going, though it can get a bit more tricky when patches start getting big. The synthesis options are good.

i think its 24.11. they are based in Germany so it should be CET

then the authors altered installation and registration methods and I never did manage to install and authorize the stupid bloody thing.

buggered if I'm going to splash out for an upgrade for it.
