Some brilliant lame words in this thread. For your review, a small collection of words meaning "good":
-dandy
-spiffy
-neat (and even worse, neat-o, though I'm not sure that counts)
-keen
-swell (is there a lamer word than 'swell' in this context? How did a verb describing the engorgement of something become synonymous with 'cool'?)
Now that I mention it--
-engorge. That's pretty lame.
-femur. I don't know why. femur is a lame name for a bone.
-rambunctious
-boisterous (what is boister, and how did you get enough of it so that it became an adjective to describe you?)
-boner. Slang may not count, but 'boner' is the worst name for an erection that I can think of. Actually, "stiffy" might be even worse.
Now for a brilliant word: "soaker". Especially when said by Bob and Doug MacKenzie.

Here's one (please just feel free to post ONE word if you think of it- we're going to pick the best ones for lamewords.com
)
ALTERCATION (too close to alteration yet means something completely different than it sounds... it's called a FIGHT- that's a good word for it).

Don't like fisticuffs? What are your thoughts on pugilism, then?
Meffy
P.S.: Pugilism is NOT a game in which you type words into the Pugle search engine...
