Thanks for the answers, but I wonder how the topic went from too much inspiration to writer's block
When I said half finished songs, well they're almost finished, meaning they have a beginning and an end, but it's all the little details that make the difference between a good song and a great one that I skip to try something else...
8 hours or so for something more or less finished, and then as long for the details...

Oh well, I guess it will continue that way a little because I'm still learning a lot and I should settle for my style in the end.

Accept that there will be motors when the mind and muse are not inspired sometimes. Inspiration is something that comes natural and cannot be forced. So if it's not there, do something completely different outside music like designing or some other form of art. If it's there it will come back.
