FL Studio over Reaper?

Can someone convince me to use FL Studio instead of Reaper? My main DAW is Reaper, fully customized and all that but I have unused license of FL Studio laying around.
Saw lots of youtube videos about FL studio, features etc but nothing makes me want to really digging into it. Am I missing something in FL Studio?

You're missing Harmor. Not enough to make me switch DAWs but i do like it a lot.

It is a wonderful piece of software to be used as a closed system to sketch ideas. You can use it like this first and see if it fits your needs.

I switched from fl to reaper and would never go back because fl is less stable and more cpu heavy than reaper. The only thing I miss is the piano roll of fl.

iirc I have the version that didn't include Harmor. But it's not the most 'lite' version either

Maybe it is. Once you start want to make it sounds good or mix or sound design it, I got a headache by watching the tutorial vids

Yess that piano roll. I remember demoing it some time ago, it just feels different than Reaper midi editor. Somehow it's easier to click the notes in them. I know it sounds silly lol. But I never been really learn the piano roll in and out. Don't know why. I should have. Maybe

I actually have customized the Reaper piano roll to be very similar to FL studio. I went from hating it to it being my favorite.

FL was my first DAW, and I really love some things about it. Very creative ideas throughout. But in the end, the project organization is just so convoluted and disorganized. They've made strides to address this, but it has a ways to go. Keeping track of all the patterns, instruments, mixer channels, and their associated automation can be a true nightmare. Either you have to make tracks in a frenzy so that all these associations are in your short term memory and can be called up at will, or you have to be a good boy and label and color code everything as you go. Neither of these is attractive to me, though I usually went for the former.

In the end, you might mess around with FL, but if you are more concerned with actually outputting work, I would just stick with what you know, unless there is some specific issue you have with Reaper.

That's interesting as I've been using FL for years now and I could count on two hands the amount of times it's crashed on me. And even then it was always something to do with a plugin.
I will say though that since the new theming function was added I've found that projects take longer to load.

The only thing that bothers me about FL piano roll is the Steps vs Notes grid! WHY!!!

The thing about FL piano roll that has always puzzled me the most is that it really is not that special. Sure, there's a lot of features, but for the most part you can just poke with mouse, perhaps with ctrl/alt/shift modifiers to do the basics. Rather it's more like the piano rolls of most other DAWs were intentionally designed to be as inconvenient as possible. That's probably not the case, but I think what really makes FL's piano roll "special" is that someone clearly thought about usability, rather than just features.
