Just got a mail from an Audio-SW-Company promoting their merch-clothing.

Again I'm wondering why only a few (compared to the mass of companies) offer such things. It doesn't cost them a penny, besides hiring a logo designer, which they most likely already did for their branding.

It's so easy to set up a store with a dedicated supplier specialized for this task (no names here), who will take care of everything like supply chain management, fulfillment, delivery, payment ... providing even the shop software at no cost.

Bonus: Limit the available quantity to (say) 250 pcs and you're ready to make some extra cash including people showing (read: promoting) your brand name in public places.

*scratches head*

What's your valuable opinion about it, KVR-experts?

I used to have an imposcar one but managed to shrink it in the wash/drier until it became more of a vest than a teeshirt. Had to chuck it out eventually, and hated letting go of it.

. Have to say that I wouldn't want most sw on my chest unless they had exceptionally good logos or unique catchphrase, which most don't. It was Screams Like a Bastard rather than the picture that made me wear it. Can't think of any other sw synth or company I'd want a Tshirt from...

I have an Aalto t-shirt. I have seen the exact same design on other shirts since, and I'm not sure if it was generic design that got licensed or if somebody ripped somebody else off.

I have an Unfilitered Audio shirt somewhere too. I haven't seen it recently, so it might have been retired for shrinking, or it might have been one of the ones with mysterious damage from a shitty washing machine.

Not a software company, but a Make Noise "Sounds Unfound" shirt. I'd really love a Strega shirt but they weren't made in my size, and their shop doesn't seem to be working now at all.

Only have a shirt from Illformed "Glitch". Surprisingly often I'm asked what glitch means (living in Germany, ya'll know). And I'm pretty sure that nobody who asked ever knew Illformed or VST-plugins in general. It's just a good looking shirt with an obviously irritating 'message'.

they came with the feedback module as part of some anniversary celebration. also got a prophet shot glass and enamel badge.
