TDR have some of the best documentation I know: https://docs.tokyodawn.net/kotelnikov-g ... dent_Ratio
There are also excellent YouTube videos on most of their plugins.

IIRC, the added controls are yin, yang and inertia, as well as FDR (which is sort of an alternative to sidechain filtering).
Yin and Yang are two different saturation colours, inertia seeks to replicate opto action.

The FDR feature is really clever. You can do it for any compressor if you have the patience and time to set it up. What you need is the 'delta' signal, meaning the original - compressed audio. Once you have the delta you can simply equalize the delta signal and then send it back to the original signal, inverted, then you can simply EQ the delta signal to effectively change it's ratio. Use a linear phase EQ if you want the phase untouched.

Yep, but Kotelnikov GE is such a work horse I just use it
FDR is really, really good way to groove the whole tune and ignore some part of it to retain something
Combine this with very shallow sidechaining and oh my...

That video is indeed very special. Hope that dude will do more of the kind.
