Ok I disabled a few things in the bios.

Disactivated E Cores Speed Step,Boost and C States.

And in Cubase ,I ticked "Activate Steinberg Audio Power Scheme".

Working fine now.

TY for your help.

Cubase does not like Ecores.

P.S. When I changed in Cubase from 32 bit Float to 64 bit Float,SM 2 went crazy again.

In 32 bit float ,SM2 yo yos up and down from 0 to 50 sometimes 70 percent on the Audio Performance Peak Meter.

So still issues with Cubase 12 Pro but this is workable at least.

I do have a powerful GPU which may be causing issues but in Reaper SM2 is fine.

Using a Focusrite 2i2 gen1 and a Focusrite 8i6 gen 3 (wall power) interface for all:

I have built:
i7 965 extreme + x58 chipset system + DDR3 (nvidia 580 GPUs)
i7 7800x + x299 chipset system + DDR4 (nvidia 1080ti GPU, upgraded to 3080)
i9 9800x + x299 pro chipset system + DDR4 (nvidia 3080 GPU)
i9 12900kf + z690 chipset + DDR5 (nvidia 3090ti GPU)
Also 2 laptops - an older i5 chipset that I cant recall, a new MSI i9-12900HX with DDR5 + 3080ti GPU

MOST of the above devices, with fresh copies of windows and only audio applications installed, generate pops/clicks in audio stream from time to time, and the ASIO internal meter hits red sometimes.

For the 7800x and 9800x CPUs, if I DISABLE ALL HYPERTHREADING (all virtual cores off) and DISABLE POWER MANAGEMENT, such as speedstep and CPU p-states, the pop/click and meter overload goes away almost 100%.

For the 12900KF desktop CPU, I can run ANY configuration. All CPU power management options, all speedstep and P-state and virtualizations options, etc, are all enabled. Not one pop/click or meter overload on cubase 10, 11, 12.

Similar for the new MSI laptop with the i9-12900HX -- no pops/clicks or meter overloads, any configuration.

However I got SO ANGRY at Steinberg for putting me through this that I quit Cubase and switched to Bitwig about 2 months ago. ZERO problems in Bitwig for ANY PLATFORM in my house. Bitwig handles multithreaded audio very differently, it sandboxes all plugins to protect the host engine from dying, and its just WAY better than Cubase in all the areas that matter to me, the above nonsense included.

Well SM2 is redlining again in Cubase lol.

Have no answers for this issue.

Tried alot of things but out of luck.

Reaper is fine.

Play one note of SM2 in Cubase 12 Pro latest update and there are glitches galore.

Reaper blows Cubase away for stability.

Think it's a Cubase issue. The whole reason I switched from Cubase + PT to Studio One. On my Mac Pro I had pops and cracks all the time in Cubase ever since the went 7+. And not only with specific plugins. On 6 and 6.5 it was all fine. Dropped it completely when it was still not fixed in 8.5 and never looked back.

SM2 in Cubase,I need to set my Audient id 4 mk 2 to 512 sample buffer size.

Here's our latest SM3 development update:

You can drag-n-drop any WAV file onto the wavetable editor and create a wavetable out of that! By default, the window size is set to 2048 samples (pitch: F#0 at 44.1 khz), however there IS a trick to figure out the pitch of the source audio (assuming it IS monophonic, like an acoustic instrument or vocal sample):

Zoom out using mouse scroll wheel and select a region at the beginning of the audio file. Make sure that the selection length is close to 1 period. and voila: SM3 detects the pitch and adjusts the period start markers accordingly (they don't have to be of equal length)

I personaly do not feel excited about Synthmaster 3 because of how 2nd version is uninviting. 2nd latest version visualy and stability wise feels uneven, like in beta state. Those visual glitches are so annoying, the auto hide mod matrix is wtf and fx section is wtf either. It feels like synth wanted to add all the trendy features other synths had but end result made a bit of a mess.

Seeing v3 gui it also gives me feeling of unevenes. All elements just do not match which means to me - not pro.

Im just giving a honest opinion.

What are the visual glitches in v2 ? The animations? You can turn them off.

Regarding the mod matrix, you can set the filter to "none" so that it always shows all entries instead of showing only the sources for the current selected target.

The screens I am posting are "prototype". We will add better looking skins. I'd advise you to look at the functionality improvements I've been posting for months, or better yet: Go use something else instead of discouraging the developer, end of discussion  :D

As one example, selecting a preset via browser randomly some of the tags light up

That is expected behaviour. The attributes that match the current selected preset are shown in italic:
