all this is still such a bummer not just end users but the people directly involved.
as for "prove it in court" i think that's optimistic really. i don't expect any outcome like that. are the relevant people even in the same country?
anyway.. that shit is expensive too. but whatevers.. still a bummer. a shame they can't just make some kind of agreement and split the children and property.

I already explained the situation about going to court etc in my original post and in this thread. One can easily find this information.
rearding who I am:
If you own 2CAudio plug-ins simply open any and go to info page. It says:
Denis Malygin
Andrew Souter
still not sure? Go to web site and check out /people section
https://2caudio.com/about/people
it says:
"2CAudio was formed in 2008 as a partnership between Andrew Souter and Denis Malygin..."'
And there are online interviews with Andrew where he talks about me.
I did not sell my part of the business to Andrew. So how is it possible that he now sells online and puts all the profits into his pockets? Why the author of the majority of the code cannot any longer provide support via company emails?
The officlial web site keeps silence about that. Aparently Andrew deceives people.
Yes, I have not been active in forums. But for a reason. I've been busy developing cool software which you guys like to use. Exteremely complex software that runs fast and reliable.
So people who use 2C plug-ins know me from comminication via company support. Anyone who contacted me via support can confirm that.
I understand that people simply want to buy 2C software because it's unique and highly useful.
I just want to point out that it's so largely due to my efforts over past 17 years not to metion that 2C was initiated by me and I provided award-winning Aether alg and all the code infrastructure on startup. Ask Andrew what he did provide on startup.
And I want to make people aware that at the moment 2C infringes my copyrights.
>a shame they can't just make some kind of agreement and split the children and property.
Andrew has no interest in splitting the assets because he simply decided to grab everything. 2X instant profits and no need to solve problems together any more. very nice guy.

>2ca
What are you expecting from us that owned this software from before you got into this controversy?
Regardless of any validity in your claim, this is probably not an appropriate place to attack from. Because while you try to attack the other developer, you end up only attacking us. You're actually torching us hoping it will burn him.
Breathe. Find another way.

It starts with a constant flaming.
How it effects us all is in the attempt at making it worthless to buy or sell until 2ca is satisfied. Even though I'm not looking to sell mine. Someone here seems intent on canceling and killing it.
Want me to replace it? Offer suggestions of those products and buy back my licenses. Or 2ca can take the case to somewhere a resolution can be reached. (Which obviously isn't here.)

From my humble pov, if you really own that much of the code why not put out a new shinny reverb based on Aether ? Or just change the name and sell it cheaper. I know I would.

I'm just informating people about the situation so they could make informed purchase decisions.
They have a vested right to know that 2CAudio has problems with copyright infringement.
2CAudio is legally informed about that by my attorney on 9 May 2022.
2CAudio intentionally deceives people by hiding this information from public.
I'm not asking users to take any actions. I've been receiving my profit share from sales from dec'2008 till nov'2021.
So most of users paid to me. I'm thankful to them for supporting my efforts in creating pro audio software over all these years.

2ca just so you know, this guy does not speak for everyone. I for one believe you and am happy you let people know the situation. I would of felt totally cheated if I bought the plugins at this point in time.BBFG# wrote: Fri Sep 16, 2022 4:50 am Then tell us what you're working on, how it's progressing and leave the past to the past.

And you also don't speak for everyone. So hasn't this gone on long enough and warrant a move forward instead of continually stirring up an unresolvable situation?ATS wrote: Fri Sep 16, 2022 5:09 am2ca just so you know, this guy does not speak for everyone. Happy with the software I own, glad the web shop is reopened, and am also happy to read about how 2ca is moving forward from it.

I am able to use 2C reverbs (Breeze, B2, Aether...) on a M1 Mac Studio Ultra through Blue Cat Audio's Patchwork. It is not perfect, but it - kinda - works, as long as you stop the audio when changing parameters. Best is to build Patchwork presets...
