tempo-based gate/reverse reverb and alike

I realise after arranging many African artists, that have of course strong rhythmical structures that I replaced almost all conventional reverbs by tempo-based gate or reverse reverb that can both sync their pre-delay and the duration of the effects
They are three plugins that I use regularly , ultraspace from tone2, Valhalla ubermod and velvet machine from phonolyth
this last one especially, being the most intuitive for such a task , though the other having useful features, like swapping channels of Valhalla ubermod
you may imagine, of course, that this process should give a better control of rythmical structures in extension of it musical dimension
are they folks that experienced this in their own production ?

yes
velvet machine is wonderful
you can also use a regular reverb and have a gate (in series) afterwards
(or through sidechain)
imho good gates for this are

You can always record the sound with reverb, reverse it then put the tail part before your vocal.
