This is a windows only VST3 (with possible issues using Studio One and Waveform daws), with plans in distant future for more OS support. Please be kind to the developer, and feel free to report any bugs/criticism/etc to either their github here or their email listed here. Please give constructive criticism, we want to help the devs <3.

An open source semi-modular VST3 synthesizer and effect plugin for Windows only atm. This is an early build. The developer is likely to make a Mac version at some point in the distant future.

Sorry Mac people. While I think it is cool for us to be using new synths which are probably still better than some of the very old ones we have had I still wish the synth choices could be more inclusive. I hope there is a way to get it to work on Mac and Linux for those who chose to use an operating system other than Windows.

Looks like studio one doesn't recognize the vst3 when scanning. Can anyone try and replicate?

upd.: My issue got resolved quickly!
After seeing my github issue, the developer posted a version that worked in FL Studio just fine ("instrument only" version). Thus, I'm putting my previous issue in a quote so it won't be confusing.

Latest legit FL Studio refuses to use it.

Details: both vst3s provided with the release are recognized as "effects" even if I specifically set them to be "synths", so, instruments in FL terminology.

So, when I open it, I see an error window: You tried to open an effect plugin into a channel. Open the plugin InfernalSynth1.2 in the mixer instead.

I really want to try this one out, could it be fixed? That would be lovely.

@urlwolf unfortunately I cannot test studio one myself. It's a long shot, but there's the off chance that the fix for fl studio also works for studio one. See issue here https://github.com/sjoerdvankreel/infer ... h/issues/6 and fix here https://sjoerdvankreel.github.io/infernal-synth/.

Thanks @sjoerdvankreel for being so responsive. I tried the instrument-only version and it still doesn't get picked up by studio one

MuLab also fails to recognize it as a plugin.

@urlwolf MuLab does not support VST3, see here: https://www.mutools.com/info/M9/docs/mu ... ugins.html. I'll try to get my hands on a copy of studio one, but if I'm not mistaken, my trial period ended ages ago

@urlwolf nope, i'm stuck with "studio one prime" apparently which doesnt support vst3. If you're up for it here's some things to try.

- Does it show up in *any* host at all? For example reaper has absolutely solid vst3 support. If you need a free host to test on, try renoise. It's one of the hosts i explicitly test myself.

- Specific to studio one: i know that infernal v1.1 runs on studio one (not flawless, but loads, pops up ui, and produces audio). If you're willing to give v1.1 a spin, there's 2 options:
* 1.1 loads, and 1.2 doesnt -> I screwed up somewhere and there's nothing i can do besides buying a presonus license.
* 1.1 does NOT load -> you might have a configuration problem somewhere.

Anyway, that's only if you have the time and are ok with helping me out. No pressure. I'm fully aware that people are beta testing for me, for free. Time is valuable, and whatever you find, i can't even promise that it's something that i can work with.

Sorry in advance, if I sound stupid for asking this, but where do I find the global effects section (according to the developer's manual, there is an effects section containing per Voice fx followed by a Global fx section with delay, reverb, and others. While I do see the Voice FX section, Global FX seems to be missing in my UI - using Infernal Synth's 1.2 version in FL Studio 21 on Windows 10 here).

Also, the init button does not seem to be initializing everything, I still hear loads of fx in play by default.

Appreciate any guidance on this. Thanks!

The "Init" creates an initial sound with echo and probably some reverb, and I can't find anywhere in the UI to control it...
