What I expect from a saturation plugin is to be able to increase perceived loudness and decreasing nominal loudness at the same time without wanting to have too much distortion...
What's your xperience or recommendation ?

It's distortion. Saturation compresses and adds harmonics. How can you possibly add harmonics yet decrease nominal volume without turning it down? You've been watching some seriously fuckwit YT shit or you're smoking something very good. You do know there are a very large and diverse bunch of know-nothing YT numpties peddling complete garbage out there?

Maybe a limiter could be the right choice. Limiter on some busses or single tracks, never tried it. I am going to try it wit L1.

Yes, if you are talking about a saturation as an effect it's different, but that's not the purpose I referred to, it's about loudness and also taming to high dynamics and peaks! Don't clipp the incoming signal into master buss! I am pretty surprised that people seem to think that you can't reduce nominal loudness and raise perceived loudness, of course you can, for example it's it can easily be done with an eq

Saturation as an effect or for dynamics is exactly the same thing. You might be doing it for different reasons but still does the same thing. Compresses and adds harmonics, i.e distortion. Limiters = distortion too. Crank it up enough and you hear it go crunch. It all puts a threshold on volume in different ways, but it's not actually reducing volume, though you can obvs do that by pulling the output down...which invariably makes things quieter. Reducing volume tends to do that. I'm interested - how do you cut Eq and make things sound louder? Or do you mean boosting Eq, in which case by definition you're making it louder?
