Or and hear me out....other people spend their time enjoying the synth while some just waste their time complaining about it.Masterofdisaster wrote: Fri Aug 04, 2023 9:45 am i think its flabbergasting that so many in here either are oblivious to what vital sounds like, or just cant hear it, or even worse, dont care. Its super interesting but also very shocking.
I mean, its ok to say a synth doesnt sound good. Its OK. You dont HAVE to like it. Sometimes I feel KVR is just an echo chamber and people are just saying what other people say.
Literally any other synth, doesnt sound like vital. Free or paid. Vital has a very unique sound. To pretend it doesnt is embarrasing.
It's OK to say a synth doesn't sound good to you but to say it doesn't sound good to anybody is the height of pomposity.
The old "oooooh I have golden ears and if you can't hear what I think I hear then you should be embarrassed" is nothing but annoying. The only one who should be embarrassed is you.
Like I said, people have made thousands of presets for Vital including commercial sets because they like the synth and understand how to use it properly. No telling how many tracks Vital has been used in over the years.
It's not my favorite synth but I've enjoyed using Vital a great deal. But then I understand that we can enjoy something for what it is rather than whining about what it isn't.
My only complaint about Vital is that it appears to abandonware as once again Matt seems to have ghosted his user base. Version 1.5.5 has issues that have not been addressed and it doesn't look they'll get fixed at this point. I hope I'm wrong but I see no indication that Vital is under active development by Matt.
But that doesn't change the sound of the synth. Like I said, is it perfect? No of course not, nothing is perfect but in capable hands Vital can sound awesome.
