Eh? Both FL Studio (soundgoodizer) and Xfer OTT are available for Mac (both native silicon even).Britishboxer wrote: Sun Aug 06, 2023 11:50 amits only PC and many more options available for Mac then this nowMogwaiBoy wrote: Mon May 11, 2020 11:30 pm Funny that I suggested Soundgoodizer 4 years ago and it's still the only simplified "one knob" style multi-band compressor I can think of. It's so heavy-handed though.
Maybe Xfer OTT?

seriously, you paid SSL $200 for the. multi band?dblock wrote: Sun Aug 06, 2023 5:20 pm I just bought the Hofa Multiband 6 and I'm very surprised how good it sounds and how useful it is.
I also bought the SSL G3 MultiBusComp plugin because I couldn't decide which I wanted more. The G3 I think is a bit smoother for my master bus and the Hofa more suitable for buses and channels but both are good all around for whater you want to use them on. The Hoffa though has more options I think. I'm still experimenting with both. I've had the Softube Drawmer 1973,Fab filter Pro M and the DMG Multiplicity (which I think DMG has the best sound) but never really liked working with them for different reasons.
try these for less then a fraction of the price

Thanks for the suggestions Britishboxer but the SSL and other plugins I buy these days pay for themselves in royalties anyway. As I mentioned to the op I have the Drawmer and the Fabfilter MB but I didn't like working with them for one reason or another. I don't just buy for price I buy for what I want to work with and if I want it now I pay the price it is now like anything else out there.Britishboxer wrote: Sun Aug 06, 2023 11:27 pmseriously, you paid SSL $200 for the. multi band?dblock wrote: Sun Aug 06, 2023 5:20 pm I just bought the Hofa Multiband 6 and I'm very surprised how good it sounds and how useful it is.

SSL is over priced, do a null test to assure they behave like you expect cause some of those plugs dont, so no one was suggesting just the price, the genuine quality and for the price is an issue here, I have almost everything they put out since the ssl2+ and to be honest, they are NOT close yet, they dont want to be, if their Fusion plugins where the real deal no one would buy their hardware, get it?
Also, why would anyone want a ssl4k anyway, Peter Gabriel was suggesting to release SSL2+ 9K like the SSL9000, which was one of their best, the 4k was the worse console series.
