I really, really, really don't like the IK version.

Seems it's a very polarizing plugin. I know a few people around here love it and there are a few here that really don't, myself included.

Only the cool kids like it.



Seriously though. I can’t imagine disliking it. Maybe preferring another one, but the only reason I could see to dislike it is if you worked there as a janitor and you got fired for getting mop water on a Tonex pedal.

Try to be really - and I mean really - light with the input drive, and use the EQ to brighten the tone. That input drive is heavy.

...I have it, don't use it much because I just reach for Outer Space first. But I do like it. I keep forgetting it about it more than anything.

I reach for Modnetic when I need a Space Echo vibe. It can be a great emulation (also has Roland 501 spring IR in the reverb section) but has a lot more features to make it more flexible. I have the IK that I got free in a group buy but haven't even bothered to try it yet, heh.

The GSi emu is worth checking out.
