But to get some objective data, I played a 44.1 kHz RMAA test file in a 48 kHz session in Speedrum and this is the result:

And this is the same file in Reaper's ReaSamplOmatic5000 with 64pt Sinc Interpolation:

It's not uncommon for samplers to perform poorly, because low CPU/RAM consumption and low latency are important. And by the way, Sitala performs just as bad, while TAL-Drum performs just a bit better.
But I still think that there could at least be an option for a higher quality, for people who want to use it.
And for example, that Reaper 64pt Sinc Interpolation mode has just 38 samples of latency (less than a millisecond), which I think is a good compromise.
