Graphics and memory for new amd build

Hello,
     i just purchased an amd 7 5800x off amazon for 221.00. I also got a asus x570 plus mobo and an 850 quiet psu.

Memory1:
Nvme m2. Gen 3 or 4? Manual says gen 3, website says gen 4. Will this cpu/mobo combo show advantages with gen 4, or is gen 3 plenty.

Memory2:
Ram, been almost 16 years since my last build (intel) and this is amd. What to look for and stay away from. Thinking about 16 or 32 gb. Prolly 16.

GPU: I used to use passive cards exclusively, but I'm thinking of going with a fanned one this time.

Uses: Record mostly rock and country. Experiment with vsts a lot (I own Hive2, Zebra 2, Diva and Ace ). Really enjoy them.
I dont use a ton of vst or samples. I use  Reaper and Bitwig as my DAWs.

Also, I don't game much, but I enjoy 3d and art creation programs. Been using Blender, Krita, and inkscape for about 7 years (got started with 3d with solidworks at my job).
And finally, can I put the gpu fan on low if I am recording? Dont know it the new mobos allow control of this.

Gen 4 PCIe has better read/write speeds and some other tech. If your motherboard supports it might as well get it, the price difference is that great between.

For RAM make sure you get two sticks for dual channel. 16 or 32, if you afford it go for more.

As for the graphics card go for which ever suits your budget, particularly if you don't intend to game on it.
Most modern GPUs turn the fan off until it hits a certain temperature (60c +) but not all do this so check the specs. However there is 3rd party software out there which allows custom fan curves (3d afterburner is one I think).
It might be worth looking at workstation cards designed for cad work however I believe Nvidia cards with a decent amount of cuda cores are good as well.

Make sure to update the motherboard BIOS, do not forget to install
the latest chipset driver.

For audio workloads makes no difference from GEN3 to GEN4/5.
For a drive that are constantly writing/rewriting like the BOOT
drive, get a good quality TLC NVMe SSD with higher TBW(endurance).
For the data/library drive, "anything" goes.
Make sure the SSD firmware is updated.

Ryzen likes fast RAM, the sweet spot is 3600Mhz.

The cheaper cards you can use

But I would not buy the GeForce GTX 1630 or AMD Radeon RX 6400.

AMD GPU driver is less messy with DPC latency and it is easier
to only install the driver and not the bloatware.
