Comparing Ableton-Link ready DAWs (Windows PC)

Great thread. I was just looking into this yesterday. I tried it with Pro Tools and it was a bit finicky. Definitely not as smooth as ReWire used to be.
Cubase 12 doesn’t even have Link (facepalm)
Oh why oh why they had to discount rewire

Link-ready Windows DAWs
- Ableton Live
- Bitwig Studio
- Reason
- Reaper (with Reablink)
- Pro Tools (since 2020.9)
I can only speak to linking two laptops with Ableton on them. When we tried it a couple of months a ago during a production session, it took quite a while to get the the Ableton's to recognize each other. They ran in sync, but global transport only worked sometimes.
