Haha yes, completely agree.
Waves one of the first devs, plugins used
successfully on countless productions and what was top notch yesterday, all of a sudden is just mediocre haha
You can demo their plugins and find out yourself! Easy to use, great results, big choice of different plugins, low on cpu, stable, no bugs, awesome customer support, nothing more to add.

No, I am not. Someone mentioned there are so many other great devs.
Well, I remember it took Softube to reply to my email after 6 weeks and not only once, I could list plugins of devs with a too high cpu usage, hasn't Kazrog released a channel strip now for 88 Euro incl Vat!!?
If I bought the Waves bundle, Kramer HLS comp and the eq, would cost me about 2 Euro and I know for sure they would bring me better results with ultra analogish feel and not buggy!
Who else has created such simple plugins like RBass, RVox or MV2 and more that became standard or "secret weapon" tools and they are all not emus, but own creations by Waves.
I remember someone compared that pa mint plugin to RBass once, it's not even close.
I don't think you will find any support that will call you by phone and help you to solve something spending about one hour!

Wanna use Waves licenses on 2 computers without having to switch between them with either the cloud or a USB stick? Pay WUP annually.
I don’t, so I don’t, but if you need to, you must.

I think R-bass is the only plugin I particularly want. For pretty much all other uses I'd opt for a plugin from a company with convenient copy protection and the option of individual installers. Though UltraPitch looks like it might be handy for vocals.
What's the cheapest R-Bass goes for during sales?

Those four Maximizers are included in the bundle:
L1 Ultramaximizer
L2 Ultramaximizer
L3 Ultramaximizer
L3-LL Ultramaximizer
I couldn't decide which one to use. Maybe I make a fatal decision, completely wrong and thus destroying my precious track? Should I've used L3 instead of L1? Or even L3-LL?
Know what? I'll ignore this super-duper bundle.

It's been free (not directly from Waves but through a partner promotion). Not very often. Don't see the free Waves like we did in past years, so who knows. Would cost someone under WUP a minimum of $10 to transfer.

Platinum is $66 for me with upgrade discount from the stuff I already have. Hmmm.
It's pretty good at $1.10 per plug-in, lol.

Someone did rather flippantly say "buy it twice" - that's what I did as I wanted them permanently on both. If you wait for sales like this, it's still very cheap, and you absolutely don't need to WUP unless there's a major OS requirement to do so (like moving to Silicon). I still have a few v10 plugs on Windows working just fine.revvy wrote: Thu Aug 17, 2023 7:08 pm Wanna use Waves licenses on 2 computers without having to switch between them with either the cloud or a USB stick? I don’t, so I don’t, but if you need to, you must.
Also - usually gets overlooked in these discussions - if you wait for upgrade sales you can usually do so cheaper than WUPping and you get extra plugins.
Look, there are a ton of options out there. Waves have some newer plugins that are excellent and unique, most of the older ones are fine but not unique, though some are still prized. Most of the older ones are ultra-low CPU and still good quality.

The only catch is that the Waves Update Plan (WUP) can cost up to $240 a year (I am not sure what Platinum alone would be; it could very well be substantially less money.) Many do not pay this annually however, purchasing the WUP only when the versions change. For most, this suffices as the plug-ins are very solid and updates tend to be few. There are also sales occasionally that include a lower price for the WUP.

Yes, exactly this.chagzuki wrote: Thu Aug 17, 2023 4:45 pm does that mean that if I choose to 'upgrade', the plugins I already own but which aren't current will be updated?
