Thanks for having a Big Sur/M1 version for PolyKB II which I still use as I have many presets for that version. Can you please add a VST3 for both versions as soon VST2 won't work on M1 Mac at all.

Sure, I schedule to work on it at the end of the year (release early next year). All our products will be updated for VST3/Apple M1 compatibility, juts a bit of time to wait.aMUSEd wrote: Fri Aug 19, 2022 9:20 pm Thanks for having a Big Sur/M1 version for PolyKB II which I still use as I have many presets for that version. The next ones will be very very soon, the next October, and so on.
Best regards

How do you enable Multi-threading (disabled by default).
The manual says "This feature can easily be enabled through the option menu (disabled by default)."
I click on "Init settings from current settings" but nothing happens.
There is no "Multi-Thread Off" listed in the settings.
What am I missing?

It depends on what you mean by better.bite_me wrote: Wed Aug 16, 2023 5:07 pm 49 bucks @ audioplugin.deals for 13 days.
Does it sound better than Polymax?
I think Polymax sounds wonderful. It's got character but it's quite refined/controlled.
PolyKB3 has absolutely tons of character and is a bit looser/wilder in sound.
It really sounds fantastic.
It's also a good bit deeper than polymax.

its an absolute nobrainer for everything less than under 100bucks tbh. one of the most unique sounding synths anyways.

How in the world have I never tried this synth before?? I just downloaded the demo and had to purchase the thing immediately! This is truly a very unique sounding virtual synthesizer.
I'm having an absolute blast tinkering with this thing.
The only issue I have with it at the moment is the CPU usage which is really high. What makes it even worse is that this bloody thing seems to be able to take oversampling extremely well! You can do up to 16x oversampling of it in Reaper and it sounds ridiculously good!! Like _truly_ hardware analogue good at that rate. Unfortunately my Mac M1 can only manage 1 note polyphony at that crazy rate.
Still, good to know it's worth rendering at these high sampling rates and that the synth doesn't completely change it's tonality and personality while doing so (it does change a bit but that is to be expected).
Anyhow, a huge thank you for bumping this thread and letting us know about the sale! This is a true gem of a synth!

yes i hope it gets a mega optimisation one day, but i've come to terms with it being a 'one instance' synth in my projects. Some of the best pads i've ever heard. Definitely don't add it to a large project unless you've just saved it though. The strain on my new computer leaves me wondering how the fudge anyone used it at all back in the day. Needs a lot of juice.

A lot of freezing tracks to audio. It helps that I stick to 24 bit 48 kHz, the CPU hit at higher rates could be painful.

.. but is sounds so ridiculously good at stupid oversampling amounts. Like TRULY hardware analogue tonality.
