Why were these producers so lazy?

Not saying I would of done better, but I atleast would of made sure I put a blanket or something over the microphone to isolate my vocals, what did she do, record the vocals in her bedroom?

i believe it's called intimacy, they want to put you in a space, with the artist, singing to "you". not a clinical recording.

I think she probably recorded at night in her bedroom and they were too lazy to rerecord the vocals professionally, so they just left the crickets in and made the best of it. I'd expect more from a top pop singer tbh.
