Not gonna name the brand. But the mixer, which is a 32 channel digital mixer are sold here in Norway for $2500 +. But from this shop on Alibaba.com sells the same mixer (from the US) for $400 plus shipping. Makes it affordble, but I have my concerns. Why not ebay or Amazon when located in US?

They also sell in volume. But no reviews, no shop details no nothing. If it is too good to be true, it probably is. Right?

At sweetwater it costs $2k.
Got a reassuring answer from the vendor when I askes them to assure me that they are a safe and reliable vendor. They told me to find another dealer 🫢🥴

No, that's not right. Are you sure it's not just a flightcase for (wild guess..)Behringer X32?

$400 is probably less than a retailer’s direct costs for a $2000-2500 mixer, so I’d be very skeptical. I’ve never even heard of Alibaba - is it reputable?

It's a bit like gambling. Should I bet my money and take a risk or should I play it safe with a smaller return? Such is life.

There was a lot about creating your own drop shipping business buying from Alibaba.com and selling for more.
99.9% chance a seller from the USA listing Alibaba.com is a scammer since that site is Chinese and doesn't have a physical presence in the USA. Alibaba.com sells mostly knock-offs cheaply made in China.

So the OP is likely querying about a cheap China made knock-off of a cheap China made knock-off.
Oh, the irony...

I'd be worried that it would arrive damaged in the box and return shipping is expensive.

I wouldn't get a $400 purchase from small time chinese guys.

I remember a Michael Myers one too, more like Stan Laurel... :)

I've seen numerous times people in diy electronic forums reporting of receiving fake ICs or transistors from alibaba, way out of spec or simply a cheap chip fraudently labelled. I've bought odd cheap bits of places like Temu before (banana plugs, badges/sticker, small household items...) but would never touch anything as expensive as a mixer.
